Hi everyone!
Here is part 2 of my Kyushu trip! For the weekend we went on a little trip to Yufuin and the Hells of Beppu! Yufuin is a little town about an hour away from Beppu and is a must-visit for any Ghibli lover! The whole place gave off Ghibli vibes and there was even a little recreation of Kiki's bakery :)

You're absolutely correct my friend. Japan has found a way to juxtapose their traditions with modernity. Nowhere you'll get to see such combination. Wish India could follow suit.

So, funny store actually. I am a current active duty sailor serving since 1 and a half year in the US Navy and since 5 months in Sasebo due to my duty-station service. My younger sister who, according to her, regularly watches your contents and is in sheere love and fascination of japan and the culture itself(i'll better don't tell her about the actualy reality of japan lol) sent me exactly your vlog and demanded me if i could take a similar travel to beppu and send her photos from there. So last friday, when our CBO and SL (Commanding Base Officer and Section lieutenant) permitted our 2 days off-duty weekend leave, i and 2 barrack-buddies took a one day trip to a somehow improvised route you did. Hands up, it was probably one of the best trips i've done during an off-duty leave. Especially thank you for recommending lake kinrin and the floral village, one of my buds felt a bit too greatly in love with the cheese cake they served xD

Beautiful video. My wife and I drove from Kyoto to Yufuin last year in September. It took 9 hours but was a beautiful trip. The landscape changes so much in Japan yet always retains the same Nature theme. I love living here :)

I think it was a huge success for the vlog that you chose Oita instead of the Ghibli building in Tokyo or Aichi. Tokyo and Aichi are cities, but Ghibli's world view is closer to the scenery of the Japanese countryside. And many Ghibli-related vlogs filmed in Japan have cloudy skies. I always wonder "why?", but this video is blue sky all the time. Congrats to you for picking the perfect location for the perfect weather!

I've decided to include Oita on my Kyushu trip last month because of your vlog 💕Spent 2 days here, it was so magical! The lake was even more beautiful because of the autumn foliage. Enjoyed my visit even if it was cold (8 degrees) and super crowded (my visit coincided with Labor Thanksgiving day). Love the free hand onsen outside Beppu station and foot bath at Umi Jigoku.
