Vitamin B vitamins are crucial for body functioning and can be obtained from various food sources. However, they can interfere with sleep and increase the risk of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, depression, and stroke. Multivitamins provide essential nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin C, E, K, and B-complex, but should not be taken at night due to caffeine and green tea extract. Vitamin D is essential for absorbing calcium and phosphorus, maintaining the immune system, and fighting diseases. Insufficient levels can increase the risk of multiple sclerosis and vulnerability to infections and autoimmune diseases. Vitamin D supplements can help increase intake but should not be taken before bedtime. To improve absorption, a meal rich in healthy fats is recommended. Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, helps fight off free radicals and reduces the risk of heart disease. Women should get at least 75 milligrams of vitamin C daily, while men need around 90 milligrams. Calcium is essential for strong bones and joints and should be taken with magnesium to compete for absorption. High doses of calcium and vitamin D can lead to strokes, especially for women, who have a higher risk of osteoporosis.

Several types of magnesium very definitely interfere with sleep. I believe the data supporting taking certain forms of magnesium at night is inadequate.

@@MikeJohnson-et4zd One is mag citrate. There are at least two others, but I cannot recall which ones. If one form seems to interfere with your sleep, you may want to consider taking it in the AM. Instead.
