Thank Mr. Pozner for speaking so succinctly and eloquently. I was feeling a bit beside myself as I felt I was the only one who sees the world through the same lens you do. I am what you call a Third Culture Kid Adult. I am American who lived most my formative years outside the USA. Now that I live in Russia ( and two years in Kazakhstan), I see this region very differently than most. ( although I was also skeptical about anything 'Cold Warish" ) It is truly refreshing to see an objective viewpoint.

Mr Pozner, your comments are well received. We need citizens from both Russia and the USA to make friends in the other's country and promote peace. I have been doing this for a few years. I've traveled overland from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg and to Sochi and Kiev learning about Russia. The Russian people are wonderful. We share so many common interests, it is so unfortunate that propaganda keeps us apart. Only true journalism and citizen diplomacy can get us through this dark period. The current situation in the USA with Trump makes renewing friendly relations nearly impossible. Nobody trusts Trump in this area. Hopefully after this national nightmare, Americans can find an enlightened leader to steer us in a new, more positive direction. Yet both countries need to not involve themselves in the internal politics of the other. In the meantime, I will tell my American friends about the wonderful times I had in Russia and I will tell my Russian friends that Americans want peace and friendship. Again, thank you for this message.

Woow. Thank you Vladmir, that was probably the best 14 minutes I have seen about the west-east conflict. I live in Sweden and it is exactly the same here when it comes to media and the general opinions. Here the situation is so polarized that you would politically excecuted if you would approach this subject as you do, placing yourself in the middle, in nomans land and try to twist the coins The situation have become incredible dangerous.

Pozner speaks perfect English. What’s more he is very cautious about languages and grammar, unlike most of us - we often speak sloppily and disregard grammar. We all speak with our regional accents. Pozner at least pronounces all syllables and sounds correctly both in Russian and in English. That’s quite an achievement. And his English vocabulary is not limited as some claim here. Well, maybe his passive vocabulary is fewer than 150,000 words but he speaks excellent English, although I’d say he speaks Russian a tad better. He’s probably been living in Russia most of his life. Have some respect, folks. He’s like 70 or 80 years old. Before claiming that his English is so-so, I suggest we check out the horrible quality of our own speaking and writing! Владимир Владимирович, нужен еще один "телемост", как тогда во время холодной войны! Сейчас отношения между странами накалены до предела. Пропаганда присутствует, как в российских, так и в американских СМИ. Причиной этому служат интересы корпораций и холдингов имеющих акции федеральных каналов. Журналистика в наше время продажная. Сказать правду, стало менее важно, чем получить роль ведущего. Это повод задуматься о профессии журналиста, как источника информации, ведь они такие же марионетки на обеспечеии, а значит прибыль для них куда важнее, чем освещение масс. Насчёт ядерной войны, согласен с Вами полностью, искажение реальных фактов СМИ, может привести к непоправимым последствиям во всём мире! Жуналисты должны понимать, как и насколько их информация может навредить. Жаль, что у них нет клятвы, как у врачей. Не навреди!)

Russia is 13th in GDP behind Canada and Brazil. It's a poverty stricken country with old school Soviet leadership dug in like ticks. Not an impressive country in the least and most Americans knows this. However, your videos are interesting!
