I love how Russian gymnasts mount the beam. They always seem to do something interesting. Where most US gymnast, they just hop on nothing special.

@@sinhueherrera8984they’re not hating on vlada. They’re not speaking about her appearance, but the way she performs on beam. It’s the truth, her beam always looks so clunky and like she has to exert so much effort to do every single skill. Joscelyn does not look like that. She doesn’t have the long lines that other gymnasts have due to the fact that she is 4’9”, but she is quick and precise on the beam. She does not look clunky and labored like vlada.

Her beam performance is just so odd. I mean she clearly has the ability to execute difficult skills (that onodi!), great lines, flexibility. But she is lacking confidence, she's like a scaredy cat tiptoeing around which is also causing the incredibly slow pace. I wonder whether she is just nervous? A lack of competition experience maybe?

@@Appaddict01 American gymnasts are not at government sponsored parades building moral to support the US military. They are also not funded by the US government. Most of Melnikova's funding comes directly from the Russian military. All Russia had to do to continue not being banned was leave Ukraine alone, but they can't even do that. They were even allowed to compete despite evidence of state-sponsored doping programs lol. How many things do you really think they should be allowed to get away with at a national level before they shouldn't be allowed in competition? Or do you just want to keep bringing USA's private sports organizations into this?
