RA The Rugged Man to Mumble Rappers: Take the C**k Out of Your Mouth

While the world is going crazy over Migos' hit single "Bad and Bougie"- thanks to Donald Glover's shout-out at the Golden Globes-RA the Rugged Man tells us that he's never heard the song and after listening to it with DJ Vlad, he's not a fan. Although the rapper says he scouts for fresh artists, he explains people tend to recommend hot artists to his taste. He tells VladTV, "I bring rappers on tour with me. I got dudes that are monstrous, but a lot of people in my circle, they'll go 'Yo, you got to listen." He explained, "If Migos were for me, I'm not saying that it's not, but if it was really for me a lot of people would go, 'Yo, you got to give these boys a chance. Go listen to that."
Watch above.

*DOUBLE TIME RAP HISTORY ⬇* 1. Twista aka Tongue Twista started it and was forgotten. 2. 3-6 brought it back. 3. Bone Thugs popularized it. 4. Migos f*cked it up. NOT DEBATABLE.

RA has the best live show I have ever seen. (KRS-One, Eyedea, carnage, Supernatural, Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Atmosphere, Snoop Dogg, are just some of the other artists I have seen live). RA was extremely interactive with the crowd. At one point, he actually walked out threw the crowd wrapping up a bunch of people with the mic cord. All while busting flawless verses. Well worth the price of admission.

STOP SIMPIN' listen to Eminem’s live freestyle back in the old days on the live radio . No paper no nothing . Wether it’s memorized or not it’s the fact he didn’t look down on no paper and choked while spitting. do your research before you step to me. I compared RA to Eminem. Because they are 2 rappers and RA acts like he above everybody when he don’t go the song writing ability, classic albums and hits like Eminem does. Overrated or not the top selling rap artists are lyrical.

STOP SIMPIN' again. I compared Eminem to RA. 1. It shows you don’t read properly. 2. I said eminem is a better overall artist from his body of working comparing to most artists and especially RA. 3. He does have 2 classics. 4. He went diamond twice 5. He can freestyle better than RA 6. Has hit songs like lose yourself These are RA freestyles . Look how he reads off the paper and chokes in the other link. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bZpijK9hrJzSdZs.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rr6WfKp42N-cgmg.html I just merked you with facts. putrifiedpuppy disemboweledkitty Your statement is biased and immature. Do you have a poll you took to back up your statement? Folk music was almost 60 years ago for people against the war, Hip-Hop about 45 years ago highlighting injustices in society. Obviously you know nothing of what a whole race has experienced. When you’re making truth statements, answer to your truths, you don’t speak for me or ANYONE I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

lmfao, i read bob dylan only, not folk music as a whole. and its not folk music... thats anti-war hippy country and soft rock. so... yeah i dont need a poll, because bob dylan has not single handedly helped more people than gangster rap as a whole. ... call me biased and immature for something you completely misunderstood? sure, but you're stupid so.... im not offended. and no i dont know what a whole race has experienced.... and neither do you jackass whether black or white. we're talking about cultures, not race you racist fuck. dont take credit for what your ancestors went through like you lived through the shit yesterday you fucking imbecile. they are spitting at you, cursing you, and rolling over in their grave at your incredibly ignorant remarks claiming too of suffered like them. go apply for a job, go get social assistance, visit a food bank, free clothing? you are racist, for bringing race into something that had nothing to do with it in the first place. im immature though, right?

Vlad: "You know what other genre is famous for this? Rock n' Roll. Like what the hell are they talking about?" Me: There is a huge difference between using obscure words to paint an absurd picture, however complex, still has message although it might not pop out at you right away. Mumble rap is them saying the same thing over and over again, or talking about literally the same three concepts: material things (including money), women, and how awesome they think they are. But they don't say it in a way that shows us listeners that they really put some thought into it. Vlad is like a stupid yet confident preschooler interviewing people in grad school.

I was in the same boat as RA about black thought. I used to listen to the roots when I was younger 13-15 years old and was into his story telling style. But it wasn't till I was 22-25 did I really hear him. Black thought is easily top 10 if not too 5 for me now. But the way he talks about wanting to top each other on a track makes me think of Organzied Konfusion- prisoners of war. When Pharoahe Monch at the 2:00 mark, he owned that track. That's the type of hip-hop I dig.

Metal bands like Tool, Opeth, Meshuggah, & Gojira have among some of the most cerebral/spiritually substantial lyrics and meaning in all of music. You might not like the vocals, but the substance is undeniable. Hip hop and rap in general is just more accessible to the people not so much into the feeling of rage incarnate on a track. Though I find that most scholars of lyricism are willing to venture out & entertain the possibility that some of the guys growling and sounding inhuman on a mic are actually sharing substance, occult concepts, and power.
