100% agree and what people don't know is that Fred Williamson knew Bruce Lee on a very personal level, but he also knows MJW as well and to piggyback on it. Even Bruce Lee's peers who MJW claimed that. If you're a real fighter, you know better than to pick Bruce Lee in a fight. Well, Bruce Lee's peers were legit real fighters and they virtually all said that MJW is crazy if he thinks he's going to beat up Bruce Lee in the actual fight.

Size doesn't always win fights.Back in the day heavyweights were afraid to fight Sam Langford the Boston tar baby was what they called him.Sam I guess weighed about 160 lbs.I sparred against lightweights who were so fast I couldn't lay a glove on them.Not that I was a great fighter or anything just making the point that speed kills.

Again I say… michael J white is not a fighter in spite of what he implies about himself. He is a guy that took martial arts in his youth and competed in point tournaments and won some trophies. He has never done professional or amateur full contact kickboxing or MMA. Bruce Lee won a boxing tournament in his youth and was a pioneer in full contact sparring during martial arts training.

I agree with him because I’m a fighter. There are weight classes for a reason. You put 2 equally skilled fighters with the same skill level in a ring and one fighter outweighs one by 100 lbs, I’d put my money on the heavier fighter.

This starts with you know MJW, so it was the I know MJW safe answer to not mess up their friendship. I think we all know that Bruce Lee wipes MJW very quickly. I get this weight dynamic yes but that don't matter in skillset, because any fighter knows if I hit kill spots and very vulnerable areas you can dismantle anyone no matter how big or small of weight. Especially Bruce's skill set. Bruce had too much focus as in he focuses on every aspect of fighting, like before the punch is swung how he hits you to set you up to be where he wants you, the angle, what to do to stop a punch, seeing what comes two or three moves ahead, you can tell when Bruce even talks about fighting it's a different dynamic. The setups he would do to MJW and get him out of there would be insane. MJW is good martial artist for those at his level or the average person, but he's not Bruce Lee level.

But we are comparing a skilled fighter in a lower weight class (welterweight) to a skilled fighter in a heavyweight class. When two fighters are both skilled, the one with the height, weight and reach advantage will be the winner. Just like Mike Tyson vs Floyd fight. Floyd, no matter how skilled he is, CANNOT beat Tyson cuz Tyson is heavier, bigger and hits harder. Y'all be acting like MJW is some regular 150lbs fighter that has no speed and power. @@flyguy7825 The point is that the fight game has weight classes for a reason. All things being somewhat equal (skills, technique, etc.) the bigger guy usually wins. It becomes more true the bigger the weight disparity between fighters.

Floyd Mayweather would have lost to Sugar Ray Leonard quick punching style to out box his opponents combined with flurries to the body and head would have knock Mayweather on the ropes with his guard down and Mayweather would lost the fight, Thomas Heard has longer reach and have power in his jabs and ability to fight off the ropes would have backed Mayweather to the ropes and jabbed him until Mayweather could not take it anymore and lost the fight, Marvis Hager would have pounded him onto the ropes and hit him with his power punches like Mike Tyson while Mayweather left his guard down when he is on the ropes and Mayweather would have lost the fight, Roberto Duran would have bulled roped Mayweather onto the ropes and hit Mayweather with his power punches and his experience to fight close up like Mike Tyson and Mayweather would have lost the fight. If your using history as a meter stick, Mayweather should not have an undefeated record.

All speculation, it can never be proven. One could also argue athletes get better over time, but in sports like boxing there's no definitive measurement. Take sports like athletics, swimming etc where there's definitive measurements in terms of time and distance, we keep seeing records being broken all the time because athletes are faster and stronger. So it would be naive to think that's not the case in other sports but it can't be proven. It's like saying Jesse Owens or Carl Lewis were great sprinters, sure they were, but the times prove that would've finished nowhere in Bolt's era because athletes just kept getting better. So drop a fighter straight from the 70s into a 2000s fight and there's a high chance they would get smoked, just like in any other sport. Its naive to think boxing hasn't progressed when all other sports do and it shows where it can be proven.

Speculation can be proven based on statistic, passed events that happen in the past, and simple laws of nature depending on the situation. Your comparing apples to oranges with your athletic analogy of Olympic track runners. Olympic track runners train one way and professional boxers another way based on the sweet SCIENCE. Speculation happens every day. Even on Sunday in Las Vegas. And some people become very monetarily successful and some rich.

@tee12moore71 but a fighter today has all the influence from those before them to learn from, and today its not just sweet science, its science, that's another advantage and the reason why records get broken in all other sports, advancements in sports science etc. Boxers are simply better athletes today, its not easy to tell because it's all relative because the opponents are too. But if you drop a 70s fighter in a fight in the 2000s, you'd start to see it. They would get folded. But there's a lot of nostalgia in boxing, so people ignore the advancements of athletes, science etc and they act like it's the only sport where athletes were better 50 years ago. But people need to lose the sense of nostalgia and get some reality and perspective.

He doesnt know that. I love Michael White but he doesnt know that . There are many martial fighters and experts that knew Bruce and sparred with him still alive that wouldnt agree . They saw Bruce spar and fight heavyweight class. Would be great is to see how Michael Jai White would keep from getting kicked or punched by Bruce . I doubt he could avoid it. Now is that fight a street fight or a fight within sport rules guidelines? If it were a fight for your life Bruce Lee would only have to hit vital areas that can easily take you down and quickness would be on his side. Guys that go behind enemy lines can be small guys.
