hi guys ~
first vlog!!! here's what I went through whilst preparing for my basic figure skating skills tests: some (nervous) laughs, some skating, bit of off ice AND getting my new blades with some cool behind the scenes of how they got mounted and sharpened!

So cool! I travelled to another country to try edea and got the overtures. Now im waiting for the JW CA blades to arrive then they will mount them and ship the ready shoes over. Cannot wait OMG

That rink is the one I wanted to take classes at cuz the info is super informative but public transport would have been too expensive in the long run :( But it's okay as long as I can have classes I'm happy XD

I never had that many screws in my blades! Did you have to make any adjustments? Thank you for sharing all this! It’s fascinating.

Having your blades permanently mounted before you try them on ice made me concern. I just tried my new boots and blades set, the blade was mounted off and my feet started hurting after 10 minutes. But they came pre-mounted so I can adjust them. My blades also don't touch the sole of my boots well, and there are gaps, so I have to get this fixed too.

Dian Zhang sorry to hear about that 😔😱 mine already had other blades on them so he was able to see where those holes were and just place the new ones on top of them! he’s quite skilled at it too, so fully trusted it, but I do hear of others who pre-mount before permanently mounting! ⛸

How do you keep your skates in such pretty and good condition I’ve had my chorus skates for a few months and they have so many scratches already🙈😭

aah I think it depends on what you do with them on the ice! I don't jump as often and also store them in my skate bag after using!

i am planning on getting the edea overtures like you! what are you opinions on them? i have been working on recreational skates for almost a year and they are awful lol. i am working on singles, do your skates give you good support and are they good for spins? thank you💕

meg beckett hi there!! sorry for the late reply! if you’re already jumping I would recommend the edea chorus with professional blades such as the john wilson coronation ace! ⭐️ I made a skate review too! 😊
