Training in Session 3 (Part 3 of 3)
I had to split Session 3 into 3 parts.
In this session, Little Mike shows us more on how he creates english while using the "Splitting the Difference" aiming system. He touches more on stroking thru the ball, pivoting on the last stroke, swiping technique, the grip, throw shot, identifying the shots, preshot routine, and how to play safety.
You will also get to see Little Mike shoot a few racks. He talks thru each shot so you will know what he's trying to do.
We also get a tip from Jimmy Moore Jr. on straightening your stroke.
I've been practicing these techniques and I'm starting to get a better feel of controlling the cue ball. I hope these video lessons help you as much as it helped me. Also check out some of my other videos which I am certain will help you with your game.
Check back from time to time and see my progress.

From singapore This lesson together with the spilt the difference are the most powerful aiming lessons. I am applying it on my betting number ball games on a full size snooker table and I am winning big money. Dirty Mike is a genius and I am eternally grateful to mike and you for delivering these lessons! God bless you both!

i've watched 3, this is the 4th video about Mike talking about split the difference aiming. He is a genius. His method is actually automatically reverse engineering every damn shot/angle on the table be it splitting the 50 or the 75. all you need to do is to identify which one to use. even with the edge to edge shot, as long as you're standing in the general direction of where you want the cue ball to go, aiming edge to edge will send the object ball to the pocket because of physics. glad i stuck out after leaving a shitty comment about it in the very first video about split the difference, gonna try this once i get off work. thank you guys for sharing this and i hope Mike is feeling well again and on the tables killing it.

This was really helpful seeing Mike play and calling out which variation he's using on each shot. I only wish he did it for every ball!

Many years ago, a great instructor Don "The Preacher" Feeney shared with me the quarter aiming system. Basically the same as this. I called him on day about a year later and asked about refining the system. He said "are you still aiming or shooting"? I thought by now you would be past aiming. LOL I hope Don is still alive, a great guy.

An easy way to remember follow thru is to just think..........push the stick straight thru the cue ball and out in front of me. Remember what Mike said, the pushing of the cue ball starts at the cue ball. Watch his stroke and you will see when he starts the pushing of the cue ball. Again, thanks a bunch for your work and sharing with the public. :)

Looks like a good system, however the training videos should show the shots from the shooter angle of view so we can see where he is aiming and the tilting of the cue stick.

I've been at the pool hall everyday this week practicing a lot of what I've seen in this series as well as some other youtube series. And I'm finding that my only problem with this "50, 75, 100" aiming method is that it's definitely not the only three spots to aim. I practice this system by shooting 5x 50's from each side, then 5x 75's and so on. But then I get to where the angle is more severe and I'm having to pivot from 100 to say "125" or "150". Where 125 would be starting at the edge of the cue ball and then aiming the cue stick a "quarter ball" off the edge of the object ball. And then of course an even more severe angle where I would shoot at "150" or a "half ball" off the edge of the object ball. I'm just having the hardest time determining which shot to take.I know when it's almost straight in to do the "split the difference" shot from 50 to 75. Other than that, I really struggle to see which shot it is, unless the object ball is super close to the pocket. I try to imagine lines on the table to help me figure which shot it is, but even that doesn't help most of the time.

This video is very good and it should be redone because of all that noise happening around we can't hear what you guys are saying. Mike seems to be a very nice guy but sometime he doesn't understand you, like when you were saying that sometime you just cant determine what it is? Like is it a split the difference? OR a horizon? How can we determine what it is and he went on explaining the samething he has said all over the other videos but you wanted to know how does he determine if is is a split the difference or horizon. I would love a video on the how to determine that without all the noise if posible,thanks you soooo very much guys your effort and time is really appreciated.

I see that i am going to have to start at 50 also the 75 then to edge. To align correctly.

If you want to find out your aim point use the ghost ball method to determine your CTE aim point. Both methods to determine your aim point if they both agree then you have your aim point. I would say it is best to learn both methods. However, the moment you start using spin and throw to adjust where the object ball goes it is a lot of feel.

How do you put reverse English on, from the opposite cut? If cutting ball to right and you want to put high right on it.
@johncummings9446
@johncummings9446 6 жыл бұрын
Say your shooting a shot to the left. The cue ball values would be 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. (left to right) You want to shoot at 75%. Starting off you line up the OB, QB and center of shaft to hit the QB at 50%. (straight shot). Then you pivot your whole body to 75%, the new shot line. ( the cue will still be on center QB and pointed at 75%) and shoot. Pivoting just your shooting arm will put right spin on the QB. Now if you like you can add spin, just try to keep one side of the cue shaft or the other on the vertical center line of the QB Ken, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks John
@FaDaVlogs
@FaDaVlogs 6 жыл бұрын
+John Cummings we backhand pivot, not hip or body pivot. We still hit center ball on cue so no spin is put on ball. Other then that, everything else is accurate.
@johncummings9446
@johncummings9446 6 жыл бұрын
Ken, watch this, Mike is not just pivoting his cue to 75% on this shot he is pivoting the upper part of his body to fall on the 75% shot line. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oq-FrJypxLCYYWQ.html Just pivoting the cue stick won't work.

If you backhand pivot, then that adds English on the ball doesn't it? I have no clue how you can pivot and still hit center ball.

I really enjoy your videos. I just have a question about splitting the difference. Would be okay if I aim at 50 standing and figure the 3/4 while standing and shoot down directly with 3/4 aim without splitting it while I am down?

FaDa - I think this is where a lot of confusion comes in (especially in my case). If you are truly pivoting your aim point from center of the cue ball (the pivot point being your bridge) then you cannot be on the center of the cue ball after the pivot. Does that mean you are moving the bridge over to the new center aim point? That is not a pivot, it is moving the bridge. I'm not trying to be a wise a**. The way the term pivot is being used is very confusing. If you are re-aligning the bridge to aim through the center of the cue ball to a different aim point on the object ball, why bother aligning the bridge and aim point through the center of the cue ball if you are ultimately going to move everything to a different target?

I copied my comment to FaDa from steve browns comment below, with a little editing, in hopes that I will get a reply from someone. I truly think there is something to this idea as a variation of the CTE system but each of the videos I have seen have left me more confused than the last one. "I think this is where a lot of confusion comes in (especially in my case). If you are truly pivoting your aim point on the object ball through the center of the cue ball (the pivot point being your bridge) then you cannot be on the center of the cue ball after the pivot. That is just physics 101. Does that mean you are moving the bridge over to make a new aim point through the center of the cue ball? That is not a pivot, it is moving the bridge (the true pivot point). I'm not trying to be a wise a**. The way the term pivot is being used is very confusing. If you are re-aligning the bridge to aim through the center of the cue ball to a different aim point on the object ball, why bother aligning the bridge and aim point through the center of the cue ball to a target if you are ultimately going to move everything to a different target? ? ? ? Thanks for any help with this."
