I'm really excited to share this vlog with you!
Come along with me as a do a shop for a stand-out stone material for a brand new interior design project I'm working on in Hidden Hills, California (LA). I also bring you with me into the studio where I continue to get creative with my team.
Most importantly, I sit down with you for a little chat at the end. I'm so thankful that you're here and I'm so grateful that you continue to journey with me.

Yes, please provide an update on the Caledon project! I'm a huge fan of using green, so I've been obsessed with that amazing house -- and of course, your amazing design -- from the very beginning. Love these vlogs, they are a lot more authentic and personable which I love to see. Karin you are always a light to a lot of us creatives for sure. Now more than before I personally relate to your current season and journey… I’ve been a mother for 4 years which has been a whirlwind trying to balance motherhood, wifehood, and then businesshood.. lol, so I love to see it and it lets me know I can do the same, I believe that life is a great balancing act but it becomes easier when your being authentic to your journey. I had a tough week figuring out my feelings and the fact that I am lost business wise. Created my interior design company 2yrs ago. I am Tormented between my mom life, being a wife and business owner too. I find myself feeling unmotivated with my business at the moment because of various factors, almost feeling out of love with my work and it felt refreshing to hear that it’s normal and it happens. Right before going to sleep it feels better ! It was meant to be I had to see this video at this exact moment this exact day ! Thank you for your vulnerability and for sharing as usual. Karin Bohn -Thank you for not only allowing me to see what a life of and Interior Architect is like. But to allow me to dream again!! After a bout with an illness. ME being in my mid 40's. This is my season to get ahead and do the schooling, that is necessary for me to succeed. I want to be a "Surface Pattern Designer." I want to design repeat patterns, at home or traveling, and creating designs: on fabric and wallpaper for interiors, fabric for quilting and to illustrate my own cards. I too 🥰am training in being an influencer by going to school for digital media design learning how to conduct my own business. I have lots to give- especially hope to others that struggle with a illness. Watching your channel and Netflix show has been is a daily thing to help me along the way. Don't go away totally at least anytime soon.

I agree 100% with everything you're saying. Somehow the experience of having a baby has caused your perception of life to be wider. You are very wise now! I'm working on a new business. It's not that I'm breaking my neck, but I am tuning out side issues that also need my attention. But I recognize that I can't do that forever, nor do I want to. I'm keeping my eyes on the goal because once I achieve it, I can afford to stop and smell the roses and be balanced. That is the ultimate goal.

I felt connected to you and resonated with you when you talked about meditation and self-expression. You chatting calms me down so well. I feel your energy after you meditate and shine. These are also my values so I get a reassurance and a reminder of that point. I'm glad we have much in common. We also both like nature. I'm grateful for the creative people here on earth because we seem to come from the same place. This design career feels so authentic to me. And it's random but the music in the end moved me to tears because the chords randomly reminded me of my middle school years and me listening to pop songs I loved similar to this melody. That kind of music felt like "love" touching me with its hands. So I also connected to a part of me after watching your video after that. I simultaneously recalled that love vs. fear is the main contrast of life on earth. What's happening in me: I calmed down. I resonated with you. I felt your energy. I was moved to tears. You remind me of: Mentor, mom/home I want, my childhood.

Karin, dear! Let me also share with you how much I appreciate and love your content! I am following you for 5-6 years, since I was in collage. Now I don’t watch youtube that much but let me tell you I sometimes get back to watch your vlogs. You are an inspiration for the nice, kind human that you are, the easy going woman boss and as a creative person. Now, for you to get some intro to our lives and maybe inspiration: I have always been passionate about interior design, but I realised I just wanted to be in the creative industry! Not so much on the executive part, but in a role to create the concept, directions and drive the project to implementation. Now I have a small business in Romania where I create wall art pieces, doing what I love and sometimes I find myself being like you. 😊 Indeed as you talked about, there are many phases we go through in our lives, going slow, stepping back, evolving fast. As soon as you said 'I need a stand out stone!' I thought Patagonia, you need Patagonia!! - that's what we call that stone you found in New Zealand, dont know if it has a different name in Canada. But Ive used it maybe twice now and it is just out of this world, funcky,crazy and a show stopper really great to get LED's under those more see through areas and light them up!! Gorgeous xx

Sharing what's going on in my life, my channel was more personal before but now I'm trying to do more business contents, I'm building a startup to earn money so that I can use it for charity, mainly helping some expats bumping into accidents while living in China, LGBT ppl, homeless ppl, disabled ppl, etc. I'm doing all this because I live in China and so much has happened since the pandemic, I really want to use my knowledge to make a difference in the society, I am taking you as my inspiration because I've been freelancing in my entire life and you showing your responsibility for your team and business has inspired me to step up and do more, especially during this time when I really wanna change something. Hi Karin 🌸 Thank you for sharing your experiences and learnings. Self-expression is certainly both nourishing and a form of service. I agree that being able to show up and be unapologetically ourselves serves ourselves but also serves a greater purpose in that it allows others to give themselves permission to do so as well. It isn't easy, and as you said in a vlog a long while back 'it takes courage to be who you are'; while the world is progressing many will require great courage to do so because there isn't always a safe environment to do so. However, that courage can be gained when more and more of us step forward and show who we are to the world. 🧡💙💚❤️💜💛🖤 Sometimes we forget that we are human, like nature we will go through seasons and cycles, it is important to find the systems, resources and community that can support us through whichever season we are going through, and it can in so many different forms. I am an interior designer.. and I am expecting to have a baby. It was scary.. I thought that I have to leave my job and my dreams.. but seeing you already solving it .. and managing the whole life between baby and dreams.. gives me comfort.. please try to make a video sharing how people could manage this .. and what you think if the mom is working for another company.. that would be a great video to make,.. have a nice day karin
