Once you become part of the final pool of JET participants, the money that you need to prepare depends on your placement. Iba iba talaga yan. You can ask your contact person from the Board of Education (your employer) about this. In my case, I was able to speak with my predecessor kaya I knew how much money I had to bring with me. Around 100K ang dala ko pero hindi ko nagastos lahat kasi after two weeks in Japan, they gave my salary na din. The application process is long so you still have time to save money for it. In case you choose to borrow money from someone, once you get here, mabilis mo rin yan mababayaran. That's based on my experience being an ALT on an island. hahahah.

Hello po. Hindi ko po yata sya kilala. With regards to Japanese Language Proficiency, hindi po requirement when applying, but I encourage you to go for it kasi it will be your edge. Besides, magagamit mo talaga ang Nihongo dito everyday.

Hello po! Thank you po for subscribing. I applied in December 2020 po. I taught in the Philippines for about 5 years, 6 years po ako nagturo abroad and 1 year of online teaching. I taught all levels before. Kids to working professionals. Pero most recent experience ko was teaching preschoolers. Right now, I am teaching elementary and junior high school students and occasionally, kindergarten in Kitadaito Island, Okinawa.

@@jeanmac5156 Yes po. Pero 101 po kaming Filipino ALTs na pumunta ng Japan last Oct 17, kasi nadelay po yong batch 2020 due to the pandemic, kaya nagkasabay po kami 2 batches.
