It really hits you in the feels when a stranger gives you a compliment on something you feel like you have struggled with or have been unsure of. Parenting is hard and it’s nice when a stranger acknowledges it. You and Tyler are amazing parents and your girls are so lucky to have you.

I don't know... there's something super special about this trip. I feel like Gigi is at an age now where she's going to remember all of this for life. You've captured so many sweet memories of Chicago that you guys can look back on. Amazing!

Gigi is only 4 she won’t remember it unfortunately. I can’t remember a trip to Europe when I was 4. But what a beautiful trip for them it’s special for Gigi anyway. They are the nicest family.

The thing that I think about every time I watch these vlogs is how much Gigi and Felicity will love them when they're older. Memories to last a lifetime! 💕 Dang it, Jess, you had me teary-eyed over Santa. He was a good one. So realistic! The wand being able to turn on lights was so cool!

I think there is nothing wrong with traveling like a tourist sometimes! Most places are frequently visited because they’re worth visiting, so don’t feel held back by the stigma behind acting like a tourist. Visit the places that bring you joy!!

So fun to watch! I grew up in Chicago and used to love going to Navy Pier in the winter. You both are so sweet with the girls and you can tell Gigi was having a blast! The sweetest memories that she will cherish and look back on forever!

You are doing a great job. Santa was right. I've raised a lot of kids. I also taught parenting classes and was a young parent mentor. I remember the moment I knew you would make great parents. You videoed a walk right after Gigi was born, calling out the parenting trolls. Yes, we need to do research and learn safety issues, but 90% of parenting is common sense, trusting your instincts and having a sense of humor. You had that. You were on top of things with being laid back and having humor about life. I immediately thought, "They've completely got this," and you did.

My husband and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in a suite in the gold top of that building when it was the Hard Rock Hotel. We'll have to go back and see how it has changed. If you are interested in the architecture, there is an architecture boat tour that goes out into Lake Michigan (the locks are fascinating). Thank you so much for sharing your travels. My high school prom was at Navy Pier, and I totally remember being with my friends and having to walk inside down the entire pier in a prom dress. 😅 You guys had such a fun day! Pequods is delicious, it’s tavern style pizza (square cut with the crispy crust) which is what most Chicagoans ACTUALLY eat. Deep dish has its place, but ask most Chicagoans and they will tell you tavern style is the best.

Ok my daughter almost choked on a single yogurt melt when she was about Felicity’s age. I threw out the bag immediately. I’m already a bereaved mom & that really scared me. I’d skip them for sure & stick to puffs. My kids loved the Gerber Veggie Dip ones. PSA over, just trying to keep all the babies safe & alive! Love the vlogs❤

I agree about the Navy Pier being very different. In 2008, we took a band trip to Chicago and got to perform at the Navy Pier. It looks like a lot more cool now.
