Sophia, you work harder than anyone I've watched on KZfaq! I meant to comment on your motivational video, to tell you to give yourself a break about lack of maintaining. You do so much, most of all you make sure you are available for your sons and their activities. The maintaining part will come later, honest!! I still struggle with that, but I now have 12 grandchildren and like to see them now while they still enjoy spending time with us. Most of them are in their teens and now grandparents do not hold the place of enjoyment they did before. So enjoy your sons and know there will be time for maintenance coming soon! Your house siding looks great BTW!

First, what a picturesque street. Second, the siding color is beautiful. I love the color next to the brick chimney, and the white trim around the window really pops! Looks gorgeous! Love the wicker chairs; I'd paint them white. As for the front door color, the best tip I ever saw was on a house flipping show years ago. He took a fall leaf from the yard and took it to the paint store and had the paint color matched to the fall leaf color. It was beautiful. You might want to try that for your front door. Good luck!

We have the same color. I painted the front door a medium shade of blue. I also had a teal green door for a few years & everyone loved it.

I love the color, the further along it gets the more I'm liking it. Black shutters would look great, or maybe even white shutters would work too. Hope you're keeping the swing, they've always seemed to go hand in hand with that style of house.

This is a color people paint brick homes in this area and the blocks and the color exactly reminds me like you say, a Hershey bar! It looks very sharp and neat and clean with the contrast with the white. It's very nice alongside the neighbors. I like seeing your kitchen from outdoors & that big, big window. Your garage is a workhouse! It's nice and big. There's a small town nearby with lots of natural springs and it's original name was 'fountain city'. Now it's called Flora, IN...kinda pretty. Bye! When it came time for them to buy their own homes and have their own families them were great at doing everything around their houses

Looks beautiful but visualize the wicker in Matt black spray paint against the house. Yes to a barn or turkey red door.

I wouldn't stain or paint the wicker a dark color. They look better with a light color so they can be seen against the dark siding. Leaving them as is or painting them white to match the house trim might be pretty.

Sophia u and Scott are going to looove the blown in insulation etc that you're having done. In the UK it is so important in saving costs year round. Homes that have high EPC ratings are in demand for sale and to rent. I wish my flat was energy efficient. Even boilers and central heating has to be energy efficient. But you guys are doing the right thing at present and will save money in the long term. Clever thinking on yours and Scott's part😃

It's always irritating to see wires outside of houses and in the air. We had that in Germany as well, but that was decades ago. We don't have that anymore, wires are always in the ground for safety reasons. No falling trees or storms or just people who want to destroy something can damage them.
