Dimash once free styled the kobyz during rehearsal because the player hadn't arrived yet. The fans outside the stadium thought it was the kobyz. It wasn't. Likewise in an Armenian song he made the sound of a flute. His voice truly is an instrument.

Nice reaction! It was very interesting you mistook The Kobyz for Dimash’s voice. There is a great short video of Dimash imitating the kobyz in Stranger. There were two women outside the stadium listening to the practice before the Almaty concert. They thought they were listening to Olzhas and his kobyz but when they later saw the video they realized Olzhas was not there and it was Dimash’s voice they had heard. You can probably find that short video by searching Dimash imitates a kobyz. Hard to. Tell apart…

@@lisamomon6793 It seems to me that this is a problem with the Google Translations. I have known for a long time that Dimash swims to keep his breath control in great shape. However, I was not commenting on that part of your sentence. Rather, I commented based on your comment about his amazing ability to sound like an instrument....the kobyz. Besides that, I didn't write about swimming, you did. So, I have no understanding about why user-gk8zx3ne5w asked a question that makes no sense in English. I think the song was meant to have an eerie, "spooky" quality to it because of the meaning. It is about someone being in strange territory, maybe alone for the first time. He recalls memories of other times, faces, and places, yet he carries them all with him. So, in fact, he is a stranger in a land of other peoples... a stranger in a stranger's land. So it would be a bit scary for him. The instrument you are curious about is called a Kobyz. It is a traditional instrument of Kazakhstan. The two strings are made of horse hair and cut from one piece of wood. The covering is of goat hide. The gentleman playing is a master of that instrument. You have no idea how happy you made me when you mentioned Dimash singing with Jennifer Hudson. I thought I was the only person who thought they would be great together. They both have a fantastic range and the power in their voices to put behind them. Also, I prefer Diamsk's lower register as well. In the interviews that I have watched of him when asked about his range, he never really wants to talk about it. He says that he really only wants people to listen to his music, and in short, not to fixate on his higher octaves. Dimash has sung with Lara Fabian, but I think he and Jennifer Hudson would really accentuate each other's lower registers, and she is as powerful in the upper registers also. Igor Krutoy and David Foster need to collaborate on songs for the two of them.

Today my husband made me watch Jennifer‘s spontaneous duets with Tom Jones. Really impressive, how they played off of each other. ❤ And I‘m not often impressed by any other singer since I know Dimash. 😅 Jessie J might be another great match for a duet. She’s very meticulous about singing as well.

Your excellent on point analysis of "Stranger" by Dimash Qudaibergen has warmly called upon an explanation........ The purpose of Dimash's madness lies in his story... told by the lyrics which hold the key. Time and time again it is said.. Dimash is a prophet.. life has yet to reveal his true destiny. (While there may be different interpretations of Dimash Qudaibergen's "Stranger," the following interpretation is strictly that of Pete Smith.) "Stranger" was released by Dimash during the beginning of the evacuation of Afghanistan and then also appropriate for Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. At the beginning, the swirling fingerprint behind Dimash denotes a very personal and epic experience.. this is about people. If you put one of these displaced people in Dimash's place as singing these words, it all becomes unmistakably clear. If I were leaving Afghanistan, or if I were anyone forcibly evicted from my beloved homeland, and having to begin my life all over again, if I have the strength, I would want Dimash to sing this to the world for me. He portrays them wandering bewilderedly to a new land and feeling haunting memories of their ancestors who had been there before. He highlights the diverse ethnicities of these displaced people with his voice, the complex variations of their cultures and with his four part melisma representing the desolation of men, women and children. How right on and how affective this is.. you can almost hear them crying. He has a way of making a hard point.. in a very magnificently poignant manner. Dimash and Igor at the piano and composer as well, are one of a kind, and there may not be others like them in a thousand years.. or perhaps never. Thank you.. great reaction. Dimash offers a message with every song he sings.. he mourns death.. and the destruction of human life. This is Dimash's way of speaking to humanity.. with a voice that rings the bells in the sky. Take him for what you feel in your heart.. and believe what you feel.. for you are not alone.. there are many who do. He shines his light into the dark. His mind speaks to the darkness.. "Make way" he says, "my heart feels the stirrings of life." His heart aches with compassion.. the scars of war and the desolation of humankind have endured long enough. Grace has been born within him.. and grows… like a brewing storm.

❤This performance is part of 3 original trilogy songs of Dimash's vision with the amazing help of "Igor Krutoy" ⇽whom is a brilliant Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer and musical promoter who has personal wealth in the billions who are notably introduced normally first with Dimash. The 2 of them met each other and now "Dimash" along with others help to promote his vision. The trilogy consists of starting with this song then following it up with "Fly away" then completing the rebirth with the song "Ave Maria" A devoted Dear named "Valya Todorova" wrote out the following, and it is so interesting to learn what Dimash is thinking and performing. I don't want you to be confused about the meaning of this song. It took us, his fans, a long time to decode his message. ''Stranger'' is a rebirth. Reincarnation. Celebrating the coming of new life. ''Stranger'' is the first masterpiece of the Dimash's trilogy. It symbolizes rebirth. 🎂This performance is full of symbols. Everything - the music, his voice, his movements, lyrics, the whole staging, the lights, the slowly moving light circle behind Dimash at the very beginning, absolutely everything you see and hear symbolizes the whole birth process, from the beginning to the end. At the beginning 9 man and 9 women carry candles /the small light of life/. They hide Dimash. The spinning orb of light behind him in the background shows the deep space from where our souls arrive. The crazy melisma and high notes in the middle of the song symbolizes mother's pain. At the moment he was born, the candles go out, and the stage goes on fire. His fist punch and coming to the front of the stage means he was born. His longest note at the end shows his very first breath, which means I've ARRIVED. The second one - "Fly Away", is our life path, the matrix in which we live. The spinning globe at the background, all the time, shows the scale of this matrix. Once again, everything in this performance is full of symbols - the creepy zombies at the beginning, the dancers movements, Dimash's movements, the lyrics... Everything evokes the feeling of rebellion. Dimash fights with this matrix, and he desperately wishes to escape it. He is the only one who refuses to dance that matrix dance. The Matrix tries to seduce him, but he fights the temptation and wants to fly away to find his own way. He finally manages to escape and witnesses the death of everyone left in it. Which leads into the final song of HIS trilogy called "Ave Maria". That's our soul's flight to the heavens. Dimash even graces us with Bel Canto ending Dimash is a very deep and wise soul. His songs are always very meaningful and the messages he sends to people are extremely strong. Not only his voice, the lyrics and his body movements paint the picture of the message, but the stage setting and atmosphere are also part of a complete performance. An absolutely mind-blowing, stunning masterpiece. A brain that is always moving forward with a strong drive and heart that is considered an old soul. Phenomenal Dimash & Igor made a truly stellar trilogy 🎶🌹🤩💗

In addition to his daily vocal exercises He does martial arts to build his core strength, and swims a lot to maintain and expand his lung capacity. He works hard! Takes his 'craft' very seriously, doesn't just rest upon his genetic gifts, which are considerable. 😆

Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again" Reminds me also to the Old Testament; Exodus 2:22 Moses, “And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom [that is, A stranger there]; for he said, “I have been a stranger in a strange land.” At the beginning and 11:07 it sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound.

The low part is actually pulse register, not fry. There is a difference because in pulse register the false chords aren't engaged. Elizabeth Zharoff goes into quite some detail in her reaction on her channel (Charismatic Voice)

Pulse register is essentially another name for fry, which is another name for slack fold etc. the false folds being or not being engaged shouldn’t really mean anything of substance because the pulse register (or fry or whatever you want to call it) is how short, slack *true* vocal folds interacts with the air flow. Maybe there is a nuance in this specific performance that she’s talking about so will check out the explanation, but aye, the more you know :)

Apparently was meant to be to land on this date at this time and for some reason we don't understand. And it's strange that it's Stranger was the song that kept being interrupted in its production. So there won't be any surprising moments because you heard it already, right? It does sound frustrating on your part that you have to go through. Have you landed on any copyright issues ever?
