Apparently she can’t because of some rule that if the role is a recast, that new actor/actress cannot be nominated and since Beanie was the one originally casts for the revival then Lea won’t be nominated. I don’t know why that rule exists.

Huh? Tony Awards are for the annual season’s shows (June-Feb). Funny Girl came out last season and was eligible for Yont nominations last season. It’s not a popularity contest. Lea is not an original cast member.

It's so amazing to see the evolution of Lea's musicality. Having the joy of seeing her 6 years on Glee to now hearing her in her mid 30s (she is also an 86 baby like me!!) has been special! She has such a deeper grounding vocally now.

Minor correction: I'm pretty sure the outdoor performance is from Good Morning America, not the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. But from what I remember her performance at the parade sounded very similar!

Saw the show on Lea's second week when I visited NY in September and I've never been to a show like that in my life. Was soooo fun and I've never been in a crowd so excited during a musical. Lea was incredible and hilarious. Defo worth it if you're hitting NY!

Lea is amazing talented! And she apologised for her actions in the past. The new cast and her are in very good terms. (Many of them said great things abt her) and she’s a mother, more mature. I trully believe that the diva/mean moments are now in the past.

I completely agree with this vocal coach. I saw Funny Girl twice so far with Lea Michele and will definitely see it at least twice more. Lea is amazing. She is terrific as a singer AND actress. She gets ovations a few times during the show and a very long standing ovation at the end of Act 1 and another at the end of the show. Her singing makes me cry every time

Lea, Has grown up a lot since glee, there were other who acted out on the show as well. They simply got less attention. I extremely happy about Lea’s success and from everything I’ve head she has matured and begun to treat others with respect. So, I think we should simply enjoy her talent and appreciate her personal growth as a person. I’m a gleek as well. ❤️✌🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎄

I saw it!! Wow!! I can not get that song out of my head. I have seen 100's of musicals and her performance was by far the best I have ever seen. The acting as well. When she does her arm in "don't tell me...." it was so powerful and the whole first act built up to it. I met her at a vegan restaurant in LA when she was on Glee and she was the sweetest person. I was on the third row of Funny Girl.

I swear it’s impossible to listen to LM sing and not get chills 💀 Just watching the entire body of slime tutorials out there and living through the Spring Awakening and Glee days, it’s a lil scary just how close this story is to her own: child star, quick (and dizzying) rise to fame, lost love, etc. Thank you for this reaction!❤️

Or still is she never took responsibility for her actions acts like she has done nothing wrong. If she has truly changed and is truly sorry right after this came out and said yes I was a jerk to my other cast mates when I was younger and I’m truly sorry. She said in her “apology” she didn’t remember saying that. If you have a reputation you go out their with interviews etc and try and clear your name she hasn’t done that she tries to scurry around the issue. It’s been 2 years.

@@chiliebeeniemcdonald7306 What I think is people nowadays who don't have lives of their own and weren't there - or even if they were - just like to keep grievances going because they have nothing else going on. The ones being hurt by this constant dredging up of a situation that happened a long time ago are the people doing the dredging. It certainly isn't hurting Lea, who seems to be living her best life - husband, house, a mortgage, a baby as the song goes - that and a hit show that was her dream. Find something meaningful to really get angry about and focus your energy there instead of at an actress who has absolutely no power over your life except what you give her.

So glad that Lea got this role on Broadway, which should have been her's from the start. I was a huge Glee fan and always loved Lea, and her love for her idol, Barbra Streisand, was particularly satisfying to me. Have you ever done a reaction video to the OG herself, Barbra? I scanned down your entire list and, unless I missed it, didn't see a one. That would be a huge omission to your catalog. There's simply no artist ever with the vocal and lyric interpretation perfection like Barbra. Would love to see one from you... and it doesn't have to be something from Funny Girl (although no one could ever do Fanny better), anything from her 6+-decade career would be nice.

I wish you had watched only the good morning America performance. And didn’t chose the complications. I like the comparison but knowing you saw some of her pet her renditions, why not do the full reaction to one? Maybe that’s just my personal preference and this video was great so I can’t complain. But if you were worried about bootlegging audio you could have used one of the live performances she’s given for promotion of the show.

You should also react to the Fanny alternate Julie Benko’s version of this song! There’s no official clips, only bootlegs, but it’s worth checking out as well. There’s also a video of her singing ‘I’m The Greatest Star’ at Broadway in Bryant Park, which I think you could use in a video.

Actually we didn't know what really happened at Glee's backstage, because they didn't have any problems until season 3, after Cory's death obviously Lea gained more power to be a star and the cast weren't ok with that, and just after Glee's last season the cast come to knock down her. We don't know if Lea was truly racist, Amber told on Jhud show it wasn't about that, and she didn't face it as racism, but she actually was a "bad" person at the time and she had tottaly "stardom". If she was racist she had to paid for that, but if she wasn't, guys we have a truly wrong blood in our hands. Ignoring all that, Lea was the best performer and voice that I've ever known in my entire life!! She is FANNY, this is the perfect role for her, she'll shine more and more! Love you Lea

Hum, no. Mannerism is when a person mimic or replicate some gestures and an aneurysm is a medical condition meaning that a “balloon” full of blood located on an artery has ruptured .

Thank you thank you for pointing out the squeak!!! It's made me not want to listen to her anymore. Which is too bad because I have always liked her voice. The nasality, the agility, the timbre... but the squeak just ruins it and once she develeoped it she hasn't gotten away from it. I've heard the squeak live a lot!! Didn't as much in Funny girl though... hope she gets the message to get rid of that!!
