Who am I?
Expert singing teacher, specialising in teaching children and young adults in singing and musical theatre. She has worked with the likes of The Saturdays for MTV, on shows such as Just the Two of Us for the BBC and many more. Throughout her years of teaching she has judged in many competitions, judging Lucy Spraggan, George Samson, amongst others who have gone onto succeed in the business.

David S. Celine is far more successful than Streisand though. Streisand is literally only known in the US. Celine is worldwide, which is reflected in her album sales. At the end of the day, Celine has a far greater impact on more people than Streisand has.

@@degviela As far as I know Celine's lows from 2018 are better, that lady does Bb2s and can add vibrato and full connection on her really low notes, something Adele does not seem to be able to do.

It isn't fair for celine Dion Cause adele's voice is lower but celine is higher So it's fair that adele's low notes are better, Also this video showed adele's entire range but not celine's Where are celine high F and G and A(F5--->A5 and even some B5) in mixed voice and where is celine C6 Moreover, this video compares adele's prime to celine especially after 2000. I love both but vocally nd technic wise I think that this video is really unfair to celine dion

Celine doesn't have wistle note xDD Some vocal Range vid was putting Celine Dion's wistle but her wistle is from her lip and we saw that she has 7th octave. She just screamed in that part 😂 so Celine vocal range is C3-C#6 And Adele is B2-Bb5 So they both got 3rd octave high Adele is just lower cuz she got 2nd octave

So do I. People are so obsessed with range and vocal stunts , it's so annoying. the.most important aspects in a singer are tone and emotion. So Adele will.always come.first in my book, despite Celine being an amazing singer as well

I think we can't compare Adele to Celine because it is CLEAR that Celine is a living legend and her vocal skills are just amazing. Adele is good, but if someone compares her to Celine, it's just unfair.

I mean if we measure vocals on base technique, yes. Celine is superior at that. Adele does have more colors and textures to her voice though. I think Adele might be remembered someday similarly to Aretha. And at the end of the day, most would skip a free Celine show to pay and see Aretha in her prime.

If I were to look at these clips myself from an objective viewpoint: Low notes - both ladies lack consistency here. Celine can be excused below F3, as she is a lyric soprano by nature, but Adele has no reason not to be more solid on her lows with a microphone, especially as a mezzo. That said, I would still give it to Adele for ease. Belts - Celine all the way. She may sometimes have issues in the E5-G5 range when she belts, but in the G4-Eb5 range she shines with great resonance and stellar intonation. Adele was fine until A4, but she pulls SO much chest voice that it honestly ruins her vocal stability. Her C5 and C#5 were very forced, and the Eb5 was wobbly because it was no longer physically possible for her vocal folds to phonate the way she wanted to force them - they began to lighten the sound just to let the sound happen. Head voice - while neither of them is particularly good here, at least Celine has spot on intonation and consistency. Adele has great moments in head voice, but even in this video, shows inconsistency. Overall, Celine kills it, and has been since the 80s. Adele is a gifted musician, but she needs to learn that you can't ONLY rely on emotions to sing - your voice must be listened to. Callas once made a point, to paraphrase, that singing without technique is horrible and self-destructive. Good technique and listening to what your body is telling you provides the tools to tell any story far better than going from the gut ever could.

Celine is definitely a mezzo soprano. As for Adele. I'm not sure if she's mezzo or contralto. But I'm sure she hasn't shown all her range

It's so funny, because I find Celine an incredibly emotional singer, more so than Adele -- emotional connection is such a subjective and personal thing. Celine hasn't had vocal surgery. I also thought I'd mention that she is a songwriter, although is mainly an interpreter of other people's songs. There's a good chance Celine and Adele, who are friends, will do a duet on Celine's upcoming record -- I hope it happens, coz I love both these amazing women.

I can appreciate your video, but you definitely seem to hesitate to credit Celine. I like both of these artists, but Celine has been in this business longer than Adele has been alive and never had vocal surgery. She is the superior vocalist. Period.

Celine has been singing FAR longer than Adele with very minimal vocal damage, I believe that speaks for itself. Adele's tone is awesome, she's super special, but Celine is one of the greatest of all time and Adele hasn't earned that yet.

Adele is my queen and always has been since I was young. I'm in love with her voice and she always wins for me. However, even I, as a die hard Adele fan, recognise that even though she is talented, she often lacks in technique. A lot of points you gave to Adele should have been given to Celine. I have heard countless of songs from this french singer therefore I can easily say this video has been mate from someone who isn't really into Celine. Adele has lower voice than Celine, this comparison is not interesting, it's unfair

There's more Celine clips because they showcased 2 notes by Adele in just one clip (for example, Hello's F5-G#5) and then 2 clips for each Celine's note (one for F5, one for G#5)

When it comes to technique, especially during their primes,Celine was on another level totally. Celine technique was flawless. They are not even in the same league vocally. Celine is a goddess. Adele is a great singer, not more. Not all the clips are from Celine's prime. She's older in some clips. Celine had surgery in 1990. Celine has a crazy natural resonance in her mid to high belts. Adele is microphone effect sometimes. It's only a few clips but Celine was a vocal monster.

Céline had extreme vocal damage in the mid 2000's throughout Taking Chances Tour. Céline is and always will be superior; she is in fact best touring female artist of all time :)

...? What? Celine didn’t have any vocal damage in the mid 2000s lol. The only time she had damage was in the early 90s when she lost her voice and thought she’d gotten nodules but stopped speaking for three weeks and recovered fully, then used a vocal coach regularly ever since.

I can see you aren't the biggest fan personally of Celine. I do love Adele's music, she writes some beautiful songs and is a very consistent and beautiful vocalist. However, when you react to these compilations videos of single notes you can't really interpret emotion and how each singer is portrayed is very much up to the maker of the video. Watching whole performances from all these singers would be better if you are to review their vocal technique (as a vocal coach) without subjectiveness. Yes, *Celine is a Soprano* whilst *Adele is a Mezzo-Soprano* hence *Celine* naturally does better in higher ranges whilst *Adele* does better in the lower one. With that being said, *Celine* does better in the lower register than *Adele* does in the upper register. *Celine* is much more technical, with more vocal prowess... ✨ *P.S.* This channel is truly amazing; I love your critique 😍

What we saw in the video is in low notes Celine won one low note and the others Adele won, Adele won some mid notes and Celine won all almost ALL high notes . Celine won for 2 points.

Beyonce,Pink and Barbara Streissand are mezzo sopranos, yet they are still better and have more support,power and resonance on soprano notes than a lot sopranos in mainstream music.

It's not that their techniques are different, it's that celine has a VERY heady mix (also she's a soprano) adele is an alto and has a chestier mix and a darker timbre.

Adele doesn’t have the head voice Celine does and they’re doing a register comparison. The notes went to C6, whether or not the other vocalist had any notes to offer. It’s very common in comparison videos.

Can't agree with this "emotional" narrative. There were barely any french songs, which Celine sounds more convincing in - simply because is her mother language. I'm not english native neither and even tho I live in uk I can still feel sort of emotional distance from words. Also the fact that the clips were from different decades makes huge difference. Celine did actually some voice problems and her vocals drastically change in late 2000's

Celine’s belt in the fifth octave and higher are so well done. Effortless. Her vibrato finally comes out and she doesn’t strain at all. She never has move her neck back to reach for the notes and has great support and technique.

I love Adele, she is genuinely brilliant and original with her songwriting. Celine Dion........if there is such a thing as the elite of the elite she is there, she is something else. Her style and pitch is a personal choice as to wether you like it or not, the same as any singer to be fair, but her skills are up there somewhere I feel. Adele is special herself for sure and I by no means have anything negative to say here about her at all. There a few that can match her but there are those few above.

Very different styles and talents. Celine’s singing techniques and vocal range is at the top. The vocalists like her does not need to write her own songs. Her ability can make her sing anything. Adele paved her own way of music. Her music is like a film that goes beyond the singing techniques. It really does not make sense to compare them.

I think comparing a Soprano to a Mezzo isn't fair. Adele is a Mezzo so high belts aren't her voices sweet spot, she more of a medium belt kinda voice (A4/B4) , where as Celine Lives in E5/F5

Celine Dion is an incredible singer, and Adele sold a lot of albums too but still not a A-list voice, her voice after 15 minutes of concert is boring, same as Beyonce. Good, but annoying after a while. Whitney Celine Mariah got that extra gift you could listen to them for days and years.

Celine hasnt had surgery, but its widely known that Celine has extreme vocal scarring. Multiple times early in her career she screwed her voice up, especially in 1991 one time she wasnt able to talk for 3 weeks and almost ruined her voice

The Honest Vocal Coach The New Foundry Studios literally anyone who knows her basic career highlights would know that one of the biggest shocks of all is when celine in 1991 did the first song of her show, then the second song she went to sing and nothing came out her mouth her voice was completely gone and she was in the middle of album promo and had to quit singing for nearly a month when they discovered how badly she had scarred her chords. And obsessed ? Really girl ? If we wanna get technical youre far from a vocal coach as none of the notes below Eb3 were supported, Adeles and Celines C3s were used with low larynx, forced pushing of the voice to reach the note and were not supported at alllll and yet you said “support of the tone” WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN LMFAO. You constantly go on about “tone” which is subjective and has nothing to do with technique or the role a vocal coach carries out. Literally give up sis

To be quite honest...I love your videos...However I have to say...I am a singer as well and have been a Celine Dion fan for as long as I can remember...Adele is awesome too I love testing my vocals to her music...so I am a huge fan of both singers. Technique of course Celine Dion will be better she has way more experience...Emotion Celine Dion has as well...when you listen to her she spirits you away when you listen to her. So I don't agree that Adele has more emotion.

Both of them are really good singers. But I think that Celine cannot only hit a note but she can hold it for some seconds that is really hard. So I would expect that the difference between them should be bigger. Anyway, thanks :)

I am the creator and in fact i am fan of neither the singers 😜..This is definitely a mediocre video..The choices for the notes are obviously not the best they could have been, the clips were changing pretty fast in the whole video..Also at the end there is just 2 notes for Adele in the one clip so i used 2 consecutive clips for celine to match the 2 notes from adele..(I mentioned "falsetto" in the description of the video) P.S I am a Mariah fan 😜

Both have such powerful voices. I've never heard Celine ever having voice surgery. When shes not on stage she doesnt talk much. Shes said when shes on the phone she doesnt talk but taps yes or no. Both women are great. Hard to say which I like the best. Thanks for the video

I donut recall Celine ever having vocal surgery, but she had ear surgery in 2018. A problem with her ear tube was causing problems and affecting her singing.

Let's not forget that Celine is vocally trained, so obviously, her technique would be better than Adele's, Adele is simply a raw talent with a magnificent tone but imagine if she gets vocal lessons she will be one of the greatest vocalists of all times.

They have a totaly diffrent voice timbre and can't be compared....my opinion...both great voices but each performance they ever had ,have its own unique great and less great points as each and every time are delivered through different emotions and energy...
