I have so much respect for Demi and am so sorry she has to struggle with addiction. I loved your non critique of this song. You always seem to get it right. I’m not a singer but I love to sing in the bathtub and I’m learning so much from your commentary even though I just sing for fun. I can just imagine what a real vocalist could learn from you.

I truly value Demi as a musician. How incredibly raw. Absolutely love the song. Tears. I have tears in my eyes. Recovery and addiction are no joke and more people suffer from it than people realize. Such a touching and important song. I also love the respect you show her in this performance, as well. Music is an emotional communication and this song really got to me because it is so relate-able. As you mentioned, this performance was not about musicality, Demi's got that in spades anyway, it was simply about music and emotion. Everyone has their faults, Demi's fault is simply worn more on her sleeve and I can fully, fully respect and appreciate that. Absolutely love it.

Love the fact that this is not a analyse and critic reaction. Didn't realise that you actually worked with Demi on the xfactor Tara. I've always been a big fan of Demi's voice. She's got some incredible songs. So sorry for her battle with addiction. I feel how emotional it is for you watching Demi's emotional performance to her loyal fans. You may have realised that I'm also a big fan of Morissette Amon. She did a cover of Demi's "Stone Cold" it's Live on MYX. It's probably the best cover I've heard of Stone Cold outside of Demi herself.

I am such a huge fan of Demi. I used to just listen to her hit music way back when she was making "Give your Heart a Break" and all I could think about was how talented she was. Then, about April or May of this year I really started to dive deeper into the world of Demi. I wasn't just listening to the hits anymore I listened to most if not all of her songs and watched countless youtube videos of her either slaying on the stage or doing other things like being on Ellen or just random interviews and of course her documentary. After watching all of these videos I got to see another side of her that wasn't just this powerful goddess of vocals but instead an iconic role model who is funny, down to earth and just so truthful about everything. Her being able to tell the truth and be so open about all of the struggles she's faced is so inspiring and its helped so many people around the world. When she relapsed and sadly overdosed back in July, I remember being shocked. I was and still am praying for her but, of course, not everyone felt the same way. The internet made a joke of it. I was so mad, how could they do something like that to someone who has done so much good in the world? Well eventually I heard people in my school making fun of the incident. I was quick to tell them off and ended up blocking a few people because of it. I have so much respect for her and its the least I could do. Keep fighting Demi and thank you Tara for making this video and reacting to it the way you did. On a side note, could you please react to the Kelly Clarkson carpool karaoke.

You took the words out of my mouth, I was the same I always liked Demi’s music and I always used to watch Sonny with a chance but I never really got into her life until around a year and a half ago and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done and I just constantly would watch videos of her best vocals I would take a few songs at a time and listen to them over and over and over again until I knew every single word and I watched vocal battles of her and Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and used to battle it out with Taylor and Ariana fans in the comment section about who has better vocals but I also saw her documentary and it was so sad but sooo good and since I started really getting into her music and just her as a person I’ve loved her she is my favorite person on the planet and I just love her so much and I think 2020 is gonna be Demi Lovato’s year

it's really incredible how great tara's commentary is. i've commented this on almost all of the videos ive seen of her since i found this channel last week and it just keeps getting better. this is really a profound place to go for unbelievably good notes from a vocal coach and also a human being. a lot of the videos ive seen of vocal coaches reacting can sometimes feel rather detached and stoic/very exclusively theoretical. tara is just so dynamic in her commentary, blending it with emotion and fangirl moments and just utter professionalism. SEE YOU NEXT TIME YOU POST A VIDEO AND BLOW MY MIND. thanks for these videos!:)

bitterblues love her blend of technique and fan girl/regular human reactions. I’ve seen some coaches on here that sometimes forget to do any professional critique so it basically becomes a regular reaction video. Others get so professional with no connection to the song or artist it’s sometimes boring. Tara is the perfect blend and my favourite vocal coach on KZfaq. If I was a singer I would definitely want a vocal coach like her

You know, I rarely ever comment on any video, but I felt the need to express the appreciation and respect I have for you, Tara, for acknowledging that this song isn't supposed to be sonically impressive. Sober is about Demi's struggles and her emotions toward them, and I highly respect you for noting that and refraining from commenting on her performance because of it. I've been watching your videos for a little while now, and while your knowledge and ability to explain to non-singers, such as myself, techniques that professionals use never fails to impress me, your ability to recognize when to NOT comment is truly respectable. Thank you PS: if you are interested in reviewing more emotional performances such as this one, then I highly recommend Kelly Clarkson's American Idol performance of Piece By Piece. Though, if not, I would suggest listening to Voctave's Carol of the Bells video. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and personality!

I always enjoy your analysis on the technical aspects, but the way you spoke about Demi and her struggles, and how it's not just about technical prowess but serving a great truth that really hit me. I am just as attracted to a voice that has lived, something that shows the scratches, dents and scar tissue of life as I am a lovely voice. It's almost like the sonic equivalent of staring into the eyes of an old wise man or woman. You know you are gazing at a slice, a shard of eternity. I teared up too. My heart is for her. Love your channel btw just found it! I’m a singer/song writer wanting to learn more. I would love to hear your review of Jordan Smith’s journey on The Voice... maybe the song “Someone to Love” I think he’s absolutely amazing and love his unique take on runs. Would love to hear your thoughts if you read this. Thx for being so respectful of Demi. Says a lot about who you are. 🙌

I am trying to write a song and I get ideas in my head but come out the other side. I admire Demi for writing her own songs and I know she can get through this

Tara, you can cry, I am almost an emotional nerf, but I cry when I listen to this, which is kinda huge bc almost nothing gets emotion out of me. This is her song, her struggle, but it is mine as well.

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Thank you so much for reacting to Demi Lovato! Can you please react to Demi Lovato Stone Cold live at Good Morning America or at the Billboard's Women in Music Live? Thank you so so so much. I have so much respect for Demi. She is trying so hard to get through her addiction but it is so much harder when you are under the pressure of having the spotlight on you all the time. She is always honest with her fans. My favorite line of the song is, "I want to be a role model, but I'm only human." No one is perfect and we are all human which means we make mistakes but it's okay.
