Hi guys, back tracking on my previous 2000km review, the top box does come off, how much weight does it add and talking about dropping bikes. Plus the throttle mod, is it still working?

It really would be weird design if the boxes could not be removed from the bike without alen keys. A short phone call to the dealership would also answer this question! I know I would try that first if I couldn't figure it out myself. I prefer the bike without the boxes. When I get it, I plan to ride daily without them, and then put them on for trips.

The problem I have with the 2 small Alen bolts holding the side boxes make it very easy, especially if parked up.for someone to take them pretty quickly without a key. My shad boxes on my Vstrom are impossible to remove. To get to frame the box has to be removed first. Even just getting the handle open requires unlocking then pushing in the lock to release the handle. All the Loboo boxes need is an extension on the clasp that covers the Alen keys when locked. It's not rocket science lol. Then yes you could keep the Alen bolts. Ride safe ✌️

Nice review 👌 Well all the boxes have a handle on top so that would suggest is for carrying them around 🤷

I know we can all make mistakes, even if we think we are bright lol. As I said it would have been handy had there been some literature from the box manufacturers. I now realise it takes a bit of a hefty bang to remove the top box. Thanks for the comments. Ride safe ✌️

I'm sorry for asking again, but could you measure the width of the bike with the side panniers installed?

@@alexandreferreira5611 for me it's ok, it could be better. For my wife, she says the pillion is a bit hard.

can you put your lid in the top box ? like you i am surprised at the lack of paperwork
@motechRevolution26 күн бұрын
Yes it takes a full adventure helmet. But if I travel with my wife I use a bike lock through the the helmets and put the intercoms in the box.

Loboo do a large 58l top box on their webpage. Although I don’t think I will Go that route. Without helmets there is enough luggage space

Better with the boxes!

It looks more adventure based with the boxes, but surprisingly light without them. Next off road video will be without them. Either way the bike is a beast ✌🏻

@@motechRevolution sorry, I meant that last time you said you would need “L -keys” to remove the boxes.

What is your length? I am 1.83 m. Do I need risers?
@puffybodie528226 күн бұрын
Waiting for mine, I am 1,93m but did not feel a need for risers during 45 minutes test ride.
@motechRevolution26 күн бұрын
For comfort bar risers are essential in my opinion.
