"no idea what to expect" Me, smiling: Hold up, lemme get some popcorn. But on a serious note, metal is... It's a powerfully, beautiful medium. And for us that grew up with soft and classic rock and evolved into this side of music, it's fascinating to see people react to it without the decades of initiation. Metal in a nutshell is unbridled, unfiltered and the avatar of passion. There aren't enough words in any language to describe the majesty of metal. Truly nothing can comparatively elicit every emotion like metal can.
@zaqwertyfish3 жыл бұрын
Perfectly said... I've been listening to metal since I was 16 and Metallica released One on MTV. My uncle had played some Anthrax for me a couple years earlier, but I stuck with Bon Jovi and Whitesnake (no disrespect to either band at all). It took a few times watching it to like it. I still clearly remember listening to ...and Justice for All for the first time... it was cool, but I couldn't distinguish one song from the next... from there I got into Napalm Death, Morbid Angel etc... now my favorites are Epica, Opeth, Dream Theater... the talent and precision required is mind boggling... and of course, yes, it is 100% possible to weep and headbang at the same time. Honestly, mosh pits are awesome! Yes, you risk getting an accidental elbow to the temple, or your sunglasses falling never to be seen intact again, but they're also extremely friendly and compassionate places to be in. The number one unwritten rule EVERYONE ALWAYS follows is if someone falls down in a mosh pit or just otherwise looks like they need help, everyone will band together and pick them up. You trip and fall down on your face in a pit and before you even hit the ground there's six guys helping you up already! Our aim is to all have fun and enjoy the music, not hurt each other.

I loved your reaction, it's great to see people who don't listen to this type of music to have an open mind and give it a chance, and appreciate it for what it is. Well done!

Type O Negative - Haunted. Long song, but many different vocal tones, also a beautiful song.

Big props to you For being able to be taken completely by surprise and maintain composure and still try to analyze. As for any nasty comments don't let those bother you, Clearly some were taught no manners and don't respect each other, people like that are what keeps the world so divided.

Love the ending! "Is that it?" First assessment of a vocal coach (that I've watched) who didn't just freak out but gave awesome feedback, informative and is appreciative of something outside their main stay. Keep up the amazing work!

Fun video. I like to see people who aren't usually into this music react to it. If you don't mind giving another metal band a listen I'd suggest "Lorna Shore - Immortal" or "Lorna Shore - Death Portrait" :) Cheers and stay safe!

I am enjoying the fact that this is real review/react and not a blown out of proportion "oh my lawd" type of one. I love this band and its interesting to see other peoples views of the vocal work Alex does. Solid stuff man!

Well . I love different kinds of metal and what the guys from Slaughter to Prevail do is really cool. Alex Terrible is a great vocalist. My two favorite metal bands are Jinjer from Ukraine and Spiritbox from Vancouver Island ( Courtney Laplante , vocals and her husband Mike Stringer, guitars, then Bill Crook from Vancouver, he plays the bass) They have a really good song called Rule of Nines , this here is a vocal performance in one take by Courtney(in the Studio).So I would love to hear your thoughts about this performance. Subscribed and thanks for your analysis of this song. Here’s the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLx0i7d3yq29p5c.html Enjoy and thank me later...
