The fight should have honestly been stopped. Dodgy reffing by Herb allowing Ortega to continue when he wasn't fully there. Guys like Ortega are too tough for their own good and need to be saved when they sustain too much a beating.

Coming back to this before the fight VS Islam .. And I noticed that the difference in height is similar here against Ortega . Which makes me lean towards Volk beating Makhachev just a bit more . Volk was always 'undersized' . And I know Islam is a next level grappler , but we'll see .

Lmao you're going with Volk because he won against a BJJ guy whom he struggled to even grapple with? Maybe you need to check out Charles vs Islam and see what happens when Islam grapples with a BJJ guy. He completely ate him up and Charles is arguably a better BJJ fighter than Ortega seeing as how Charles can actually wrestle. Islam won't just beat Volk. He's going to make it look easier than the fight with Charles. Volk is a good grappler but he's no high level BJJ guy or Elite caliber wrestler. He's simply not out wrestling Islam.
