Even if you do not have an aftermarket air induction system you will need to remove it or the engine cover. Please see our article on engine cover or after market induction system removal for additional assistance.
The camshaft adjustment valve is relatively easy to remove. It is located at the end of the cylinder head on the left side of the motor (facing from the drivers seat). The sensor (red arrow) is held in place with a two T20 screws. Note; the battery has been removed for photographic purposes; you do NOT need to remove the battery to perform this work.
Project Time: 2 hours

Tools: T20 Torx, 5mm Triple Square, pliers
