Күн бұрынVolkswagen gave the popular Polo a solid facelift, which, in addition to extra style, especially added more technology. Thanks to the addition of new centre airbags and more capable crash avoidance systems, the facelifted Polo cleared the hurdle for a 2022 five-star rating.

I’ve just had a head on crash in my polo 2019 model head on at 30mph plus,the air bags deployed and I walked out of the car ,,, I’m buying a replacement one given its excellent crash performance, interesting the drivers side window slightly opened and I was wondering if it’s a design feature to do so….

It would be more reliable if the cars were chosen "randomly" at a dealership, and not "optimized" in advance by the manufacturer and sent for testing. The greatest example of "pure marketing" was the retest of the Chinese-made VW Passat. A world disgrace!

@@synthwave7 EuroNcap's methodology is that it receives to purchase vehicles, or the manufacturer supplies them directly. To your knowledge, even in the US, the IIHS found that manufacturers only reinforced the locations where vehicles would be crash tested (left side and front on the same side); the other sides were left without structural reinforcements. The IIHS went on to do the frontal crash test on a concrete "wall", without impact-absorbing material and on both sides of the vehicles. An example of fraud and pure marketing was the crash test of the VW Passat, approved by ChinNcap and retested by C-IASI, at the request of insurance companies in China. The result was catastrophic; it came to light in the automotive media that VW was saving $300 on structural reinforcement components, aiming for a big profit on its model that "was" one of the best sellers in China. The truth is late but it doesn't fail!

As a fmr VW owner I can say they might not build their cars to last more than a few thousand miles, but VW does take safety very seriously.
