I have one of these and it goes like stink. In sport mode easily a 6.5 second car 0-100km. Most people only test it in normal drive mode where it shifts early. This is kick ass audi V8!!

It it the 2008 version 5spd? I'm looking for some numbers on the 2016's, with 8spd, I guess its in the los 6s range

Hi, I love this SUV. I have a V6 passat CC 2010 and I love it too. If I think in a new vehicule, the V8 Touareg is the one I like to have. But, how stable is at high speed? The CC is like a train. I guess is not the same the Touareg. But seems you ask a lot to the SUV. Would you share with me please your experience at high speed? Thank you very much. Gustavo.

I have a 2005 V8 and it's incredible on the highway. Incredibly smooth, stable and comfortable, even in high winds. Feels like you're driving a tank, but still has plenty of power to pass someone. Have yet to drive something nicer on the highway. Gas mileage on the highway is reasonable as well. I usually get ~800 kms on a tank. Having the ability to tow up to 7,700 lbs is also nice. Horrible car in the city though. It's cumbersome to drive through tight spaces, takes a while for the engine to warm up, and its huge weight doesn't come at an advantage. Also, the fuel economy difference between city and highway driving is massive. If you're doing most of your driving on the highway and don't mind the maintenance costs, I can't recommend it enough. If you're mostly driving in the city, you're better off with the CC

Sure this is a 4.2 V8. Looks like a Passat 2.0 tdi with 170 hp.

Are you sure a 2.0 TDI can do 0-100km\h in 6.5 seconds? I used to own a 1.9 tdi passat, which did it in 11,9 seconds..

It takes 8 sec to 100 and 14 to 140. That´s not slow for an average car but for a V8 engine that produces 340 hk / 800 Nn it becomes slow.

chris please these is the v8 petrol how in the hell could produce 800nm of torque? and on the top with out turbo??? these car it's not turbo but even if it was would never produce near to 800nm of torque. please dont look amateurish
