Hello, my EGR valve was constantly causing problems and then I decided to have the EGR deactivated via OBD and then everything was great for a few days, the car ran like new but for a few days it has been worse than before. Does anyone know what the problem is?

137k miles. Not super high miles for a modern diesel. Volvo should have honoured the recall if they know there is a problem with their parts. But dealers dont like to spend money on recalls. Interesting video, whats the purpose of the swirl flaps on the intake. Leaning out the mix?

They don't change the air fuel ratio at all, they just "swirl" the air going into cylinder at low engine speed so the fuel mixes properly with the air in the cylinder for better combustion.
