Volvo V50 Fuel injector removal 1.6 D2 (Ford, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault 1.6 Diesel)

Removal of the fuel injector on cylinder 2, suddenly failed on me, wasn't much indication to this but it seems to be a relatively common issue on these D2 engines.

Subbed to your channel, thanks for the video! Got the same car and the same issue, just on cylinder nr 3. the code is p1263. Strangely enough, my car didn't go into limp mode, it drives fine and gets awesome gas mileage. I'll check out the connector first to see if it might be gunked up or something.

Thank you, much appreciated. Yes absolutely, always best to try the easy steps first. Also might be worth checking the injector bracket, a failed one would cause a leak and misfire, but of course you'll still have a fully functioning injector. Good luck.

Would this be an ok job for me as a complete beginner? I have not done any work in cars at all, but if would get this done at a shop it would cost me way too much I got the same fault code as you

man thank you for the video, today i was riding a highway and apparently my c30 d2 started to shake a lot, i stopped, and checked diagnostics, and there was the same code P1262. Had to call for a tow truck, as it was impossible to continue. I'll get a new injector and replace it. One question, can i ride the car like 3km to a workshop for coding/programming injector with a new one not coded?

Once I deleted the code with the new injector fitted, there wasn't any need for coding, I have had a lot of questions on this but car fired right up and has not had any issues since the job. I wasn't aware of any requirements for coding

Hi,I have the same kind car knocking noise like injector has gone but some times no noise it drives fine.no code showing but blue smoke some times and some times it's fine no idea what is going on

Hi. do you know the resistance of the coil in the injector? I have about 200 kohm in mine.2 with the same ohms but i have the rest with 2Mohm. sometimes the engine misfires at low rpm with this setup of injectors and my fuel consumption is high.I want to buy some used ones but i dont know if the coil are good.I bought last year 4 used and all of them have 2Mohm coils.
