I think Cryptic is "banking" on the distinct visuals & it's Discovery lineage more than the ship's regular stats, but it does seem to have a couple of odds & ends combined going for it along with the console &/or trait. I was disappointed with that last "legendary" bundle I think I'll just sit-out this gamble-ship altogether without much thought on it though their reception & reaction to criticism was impressive. Interesting thoughts about the Daemosh & the Son'a Sci melding for this ship. lol "olden" must be spoken like that at all times. Good video as usual, thanks!

When I first saw this I was exciteed... Now that I actually see the ship I don't see how I could justify spending the ungodly amount of money it would take to get it. This sounds more like a regular C-store ship, or at the very most a regular lock box ship.

Another great informative/insightful vid . A little off subject, I have a request/suggestion for an upcoming video, if you have not already done this in the past. A Video showing the top 5-10 of each duty officer abilities Tact/Sci/Eng/ Pilot/ Intel/TO/ MW/, for space. Perhaps a second one down the road for ground. What each ability does, the video should include what the icon for the ability that shows on the duty officer slot looks like, as I myself am unfamiliar with many of the newer ability icons and have been in game for 10+ yrs. A brief description of each ability and why you consider it to be on the list. As a lot of players are unaware what certain abilities are available and how it could benefit their playing style. Are there any particular traits or abilities your character should possess to best utilize these particular doff abilities. I am asking this of you in particular because of your attention to detail and well organized but easily understandable videos. Thanks hearing me out..

I just want to say your video's have opened a world of options for me. Your knowledge and superior wisdom of the game has helped my gameplay. Particularly with the 11th Anniversary bundle on where to spend my ship tokens. I went with the dewan and the cardassian. Kickass for the whole acct! Thank you Also I'm a bit brutish. Why is CMD specialization so preferred ? And what are the best abilities for space combat from CMD spec? Thanks!

The extra stuff from Cmdr/MW & Cmdr/TO are more preferred than Command honestly, though having at least a LtCmdr/CMD seat is highly suggested for any torpedo build because of Concentrate Firepower 3. One of the inspiration abilities gives 15 sec of bonus all damage to your team (and more full-spec CMD vessels can also use this ability on theirs for a longer duration of it). I'll take Cmdr/CMD over Cmdr/PLT or Cmdr/INT for tanking in PvE content, but MW & TO have much more versatility & better bridge officer abilities for most builds out there. As for the best CMD abilities in my opinion: Ensign -- Overwhelm Emitters (filler ability to help with survival that is only used on tanks for builds that have nothing else meaningful to slot here; will need to test changes from @BorticusCryptic on the next patch to see if it is actually good) Lt -- Rally Point Marker (currently the best Lt-level hull heal in the game; @BorticusCryptic is looking to rework it, so not sure on its power when he is done with it) LtCmdr -- Concentrate Firepower 3 (a must-have for any high-end torpedo build) Cmdr -- Suppression Barrage 3 (super useful for any DEW-based tank [especially with its higher uptime with the upcoming changes], though some frigates in STO also come with this ability -- so if you are tanking on the Styx or a Flight-Deck Carrier, it will be less useful to slot)

I have that ship. I refer to it as the “teapot of destruction.” Neat ship just ugly as hell. I have the frigate pets so it’s not too bad.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I would prefer an integrated ablative generator and Aero shuttle support vessel. The ablative generator is essentially an enhanced battle cloak, and an Aero shuttle support vessel gives you a hangar frigate with healing abilities. It seems like both of these would be easy to achieve in 32c Trek. In theory, programmable matter should be able to give Voyager J an enhanced ablative generator because you don't need the use of replicators mounted on the hull. Having an enhanced ablative generator that incorporates feedback pulse for passive damage, thus generating more threat, would be a boon to tanking captains. I can't tell if developers are limited by licenses or imagination, but it feels like it's a combination of both. It always seems like developers are able to come close to, but not meet our stellar expectations. Good luck to all. I was fortunate enough to get the 10th Anniversary Legendary Starship Bundle and am quite satisfied with the Legendary Intrepid and Legendary Crossfield.

Great video! Some thoughts; I am really hoping that the Nog Class from the 32nd Century will be a Lobi Store ship. I know having the Voyager J in a Promo box is all about cash-flow, but they really need to start putting players first. The only reason I still play STO is for the Events, and some new ships, even that is getting old now. The game needs new life, either a big story arc like the Iconian War or several small stories that come together for actual thought moving way for the player.

BTW, yes, Cryptic is once again using the player base to playest their new items. Remember the Hur'Q fighters or the Ba'ul console that got a quiet nerf a couple months later?

I wonder if the phasers will be extra peewwwww on them like S31 Covert Phasers and Mirror Warship has. I love the phasers that seem to act more like lasers with continual burning. - Add: The best ground costume is Wrath of Khan Excursion jacket. I was the first with it, at least that actively went around with it back when it costed ass with Dil. . . . . I was gonna say something more but I forgot :|

If the Janeway is a promo ship, then along with the 32rd century weapons are coming in a lockbox that means the Nog is coming.

The 10th Anniversary Bundle will return at some point during the year (Cryptic made too much off of it, that they would be foolish not to). As to when? Not sure, as I don't work for Cryptic Studios.

Man, all I want is a Romulan themed/variant of the Gagarin or some new MW Romulan ship that doesn't fly like its hauling a planet behind it. I'm getting tired of so many new command ships ugh. *smh*
