just get the GameToys AC cloud with Fenrir gametoys superb in tone and shade on Headscult and AC cloud have new body type produce. VTS fusion sword have no weathered effect just plain 2 tone silver.

VTS did announce their Remake Cloud a tad earlier than GT so it was anyone's market. But by now, it's very clear that VTS isn't gonna spend more resource to develop a new head sculpt and body, not when GT's Cloud is so difficult to surpass...so they're probably just gonna milk all they can before GT releases theirs. @@ElbearToys got my sights set on Tifa and Aerith. I've got word they'll be opening Tifa's PO after Zack's release. Bad news is, Zack release could be delayed until Q4 of this year. Worst case scenario, Q1 of* 2023. But! Good things take time... 😌

@@ElbearToys sadly. The guy I got in contact with says he's got direct contact from GT in China. When I asked about ETA, he was only able to share that GT's got their hands full at the moment so it's likely they could take more time that expected due to higher demand with how Cloud and Sephi turned out. He told me his contact says their "boss" at GT's got OC and they don't want to release the action figures unless it is perfect. Can't blame them. The results show afterall.

@@dztryr Interesting! If you don't me asking, on which platform does GT actually make contact? The reason I'm so curious is because they keep a super low profile so (as far as I'm aware) they don't have any official channels. It's as if no one could reach them unless you are a trusted merchant in the biz. Also it's fascinating to know the "boss" of GT is such a perfectionist. It's a good thing for everyone 😉

I'd say it's on VTS that they made no attempts to improve their head sculpt on this new release. Limtoys and GameToys are also unlicensed but they went all out trying to get the best likeness...and they knocked it out of the park. Anyways, there's this UK-based studio which you can find on FB: Greiver Studios. I'm fairly certain they do some great custom sculpts for the VTS Cloud. Check 'em out if you haven't already. @@ElbearToys perhaps when I visit there, I live in the Philippines lol. Fortunately here in asia there's no shortage for creative people in custom head sculpts and body replacements ^_^

There's certainly a lot to like with this release, and you can always count on VTS Toys to make some amazing diorama bases. Still though, it's unfortunate they didn't even try to improve on the head sculpt. Judging from their other releases, it certainly feels like they've got what it takes to do it too. Sadly, the Buster Swords between VTS and GT aren't interchangeable because the swords are scaled to their own respective figures. But even if you scale away the size, GT's Buster Sword is thicker and heavier because GT's wrist joints are stronger. Not to mention, the Materia slots and the way you strap the sword on Cloud's back aren't quite the same. But yeah, from looking at VTS's upcoming Zack, it really does feel like they just wanna squeeze out all they can with the same base body, do the minimum to span out as many variations in the costume as they can, before GameToys releases theirs. Sadly the arms are not removable, at least not without tremendous effort. Parts of the base body is actually used by Damtoys for other figures, but the limbs are installed at a manufacturer level so they aren't meant to be taken apart. Hope that helps~

Hmm, that's a difficult question answer because PAK version and a 1/6 scale figure is too different in too many ways. And what makes this tougher is that this VTS version really isn't something I'd recommend over any other types of collectibles simply because a better one by GameToys is on the horizon. So in the end, I guess my opinion would be this: the build quality for this VTS one is really good, but the PAK version (despite how dated it is) still has better likeness. And when the GameToys version is finally released, it will surpass everything in question here. Hope that helps~
