Starting with the Remake and Crisis Core Reunion, it looks like Zack will be rockin' that classic Buster Sword. How they'll update the CG cutscenes from the PSP title remains to be seen, but I'm super stoked~

@@ElbearToys I'm a little more excited about the original sword design in Reunion and a 1080p to 4K CGI cutscenes. Plus the buster sword being a silver hilt in CGI to gameplay and Unreal Engine 4 with the busyer swird being grayed or black mixed silver.

@@CONCXTRXTED_KILL I'm amazed that Square-Enix seems to have kept the original source for the CG movies from the PSP days because Zack's carrying the new Buster Sword during his final stand. Either ways, I'm super stoked to see Zack and Aerith roaming the streets of Midgar again!

Totally fair. The hair sculpt on the young Zack is definitely very good, and it does resemble how he looked in CC. The only nit I had is that the front bangs were covering the face too much. But they used the same sculpt for old Zack, which I thought was the biggest problem. But you bring up an interesting point. Old Zack's hair differ between the in-game and CG model in CC, with the CG hair looking noticeably slimmer. And it's changed again for Remake. I'll do some comparisons when I get the GT version in hand and see which one that resembles. And brilliant idea~ Angeal is a big dude, so swapping the base body with the VTS costume could make for a fantastic custom!!

@@Heartnet1108 No worries, and thanks for asking~ So there are 3 VTS releases total, and the diorama bases for each are amazing. The "Last Hero" diorama only works with Zack (maybe Cloud too), so its uses are rather limited. The "Former 1st Class AC Version" is OK for generic uses, but certainly works better for Cloud with the different parts of the Fusion Sword as set pieces. The best "all around" diorama would be the first Cloud release (which sadly was not featured on this channel). It's got a Midgar-like setting that works well with any FF7 characters, even the ones from GameToys.

Thank you so much~ Crisis Core's soundtrack is quite underrated IMHO, so it makes me so happy you noticed this deliberate BGM choice!! I hope this is the last one for VTS...? All the FF7 characters in similar vain had been exhausted already, unless they wanna reuse the same body for Sephiroth. Either ways, I'm just gonna straight up used recycled footages next time I review anything VTS 😤

@@ElbearToys Definitely underrated. My cousin and I loved all CC's sound tracks, especially Under the Apple Tree and Price of Freedom. I just went full nostalgia when I heard it 😅 I'd rather you saved it for GT Zack HAHA! Your prior reviews for VTS' FF7 Remake and AC Cloud were more forgiving compared to VTS' Zack. I share the same sentiments with your feedback. VTS' rendition of Zack is nowhere near FF7 Remake or CC's Zack Fair. I maybe exaggerating, but Square Enix's PAK is better than VTS Toys' FF7 offers. I guess their potential ran out for too much material recycling? Mediocre excecution and kind of a waste of sclupting talent as well. If ever VTS would still try their hand at Sephiroth or even other FF characters, VTS really should up their game because it's only them and GT competing in 1:6 scale for FF7 figures with multiple entries. GT's been unanimous so far. Apart from Tifa and Aerith, there had been leaks of GT working on Noctis, Yuna and Cloud's FF7 Remake dress version. I will keep supporting your channel for how you review action figures. Your indirect feedback remained sounding neutral despite the overall poor quality of the item. Kudos!

@@dztryr As always, thank you for the kind and in-depth feedback!! I guess I'm harsher with VTS's Zack than I was with Cloud because of two big reasons. First is the hair sculpt. Young Zack's hair looks great. But they had to ruin it by making it longer in the back and then reused it for old Zack. Now they're both inaccurate in some ways. Second is they didn't bother to scale Zack with their own Cloud. I'm all for recycling parts if it works. But VTS just seemed like they wanna quickly crank these out and sell as many as they can before GT shipped theirs 😔 Sadly I don't have the PAK Zack so I can't speak for how it compares to VTS. If VTS is gonna do more figures for this line, I'd say starting from scratch is the only way to redemption. They certainly got what it takes. But I doubt they wanna spend the R&D to get it right. The 2 tracks you mentioned are amongst my fav too! It was a tough choice dividing up the soundtrack but I do have a few picks reserved for the GT Zack video 😁

Not that any of these figures should be so tall, but VTS should've at least made Zack scale with their own Cloud. But nope. It was but a fool's hope. Thank you again for watching~

I think I made the wrong bet when I choice Inflames Toys' Three Kingdoms line over 303Toys'...because 303Toys is still going strong and I don't even know if Inflames Toys is still around anymore. But yeah, I would have been all over their Three Kingdoms figures had I started from before. Same with CooModel's samurai stuff. I feel like I missed the boat for all the hype figures in the past. Maybe someday, I'll bite and hop onboard.
