How to enable hidden developer test mode and green menu in Volkswagen Discover Media MIB2 unit installed in #GolfMK7 using #OBDeleven. When this feature is activated, you need to press and hold MENU button for about 10 seconds to access the test menu, where you can choose number of tests and developer level information screens.

Module 5F → Diagnostic Session → Developer mode
Module 5F → Adaptation → Developer mode → Activated
⚠️ Be careful and don’t do anything unless you are 100% sure what you are doing. In hidden green menu you can make changes that will cause your head unit to behave inoperable.

Hi, congratulations for your precious videos, I followed this video to the letter but on my MIB3 my21 Cupra Formentor unit it doesn't work, I don't see the VCRN, when I proceed to enable development mode with OBD ELEVEN it doesn't work, it turns out that I have to enter a code of 5 numbers that I don't know but it's not SFD, this is automatically unlocked, do you have any suggestions for me? If you carry out remote consultancy I would be grateful, I would like to enable some swap/fec available for my MOI3_EU mib 3 system in particular the performance monitor. Hi your videos are great. I have a Caddy 2015 and i have put a Discover Media in it 1 it has gone into code protection mode and 2 if i brought a OBD11 would that allow me to get to the secret menu or the green menu. Or is there any other way of doing this. Many thanks Keep up the great work

Witam. Mam problem z Discovery Media Pro w Golf 7. Brak dźwieku. Jednostka multimedialna sprawna. Wina leży prawdopodobnie po stronie kodowania. Wchodziłem w green menu. Możliwe, że coś przestawiłem. Podpinany był również VCDS. Jest możliwość skontaktowania się z Panem droga telefoniczną i ewentualnie zdalne usprawnienie radia? Bardzo mi na tym zależy. Moi elektronicy rozkładają ręce. Pozdrawiam i z góry dziękuję za odpowiedź.

Cześć, moje radio swing w fabii 3 nie ma w opcjach funkcji AF, czy przez to menu można to włączyć czy trzeba kodować w vcds, szukałem już wszedzie odpowiedzi ale bez rezultatu. A mam egzotyczną wersję algierska wg vin. Radio ma RDS na pewno bo pokazuje radio text ale stacje mogę ustawiać tylko na sztywno po częstotliwości FM

Cześć, mam pytanie bo jestem zielony w temacie kodowania czy czegokolwiek. Mam golfa 7 z 2018 i jak przytrzymam przycisk menu to mam bodajże chyba jakichś 5 opcji, ale nie mam opcji tego zielonego ekranu. Żeby go włączyć wystarczy mieć obd eleven i aktywować jak na filmiku? No i czy wystarczy wersja standard obd czy potrzebna jest pro? To jedno pytanie. Drugie pytanie to czy jeśli miałbym obd eleven, wygeneruję kod aktywacyjny np. na android auto to wystarczy go wkleić przez obd (jak na jednym z Twoich filmików) i wszystko będzie śmigać? Pozdrawiam

Ciao ho un problema con il discover mib2 Passat 2016 , collegando un telefono con root con il cavo la radio mi scollega il bluetooth dell'altro telefono che uso per le chiamate , perché mi dice che android auto è collegato , si può modificare questo tramite obd Eleven?

@@mrfixpl can "Performance monitor" be activated with obdeleven? I have a vw golf variant mk7 gtd 2016.. I dont know if its mib 2 or mib 2 pro. My main unit hás sdcard1 sdcard1 and sim... With this informativo, can you tell me wich one i have. Or you could sendo me your email, and i Will sendo you pictures (front and back) of my main unit. Thx bro 🤜🤛

If you have 2xSD and 1xSIM, I believe that it's Discover Pro. Not sure if older MIB1 or newer MIB2. That you would have to check. Here's a ideo that should be helpful: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d9N3e8t-tK23c2g.html Also: Performance Monitor, as well as App-Connect (CarPlay, AndroidAuto, Mirror Link) is protected by FEC/SWaP Code. to be honest you are the only one that i see reacting on their subscribers, other people don't even take any time to respond. I was wondering if you know how i can change the menu style of the mib 2 to the one like the mib 2.5 i've seen various youtube video's that are showing how they change it but they never explain how it should be done. thank you.

First you need to upgrade the software to MIB2.5 version which itself is difficult. Depending on which system you have (Harman, Delphi, Techisat) the procedure is different.

You need Both: OBDeleven to enable access to green menu And Toolbox (an extension to the green menu)

Hello. Thank you for the video. I followed you manual and activated the developer mode via obd11, but I can't see the third option in the menu and green menu doesn't activate with long pressing menu button. Do you know what could be wrong? I have 3Q0035864 with SW MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0138T. Thank you.

I believe it’s available in one-click apps that you can use for 10 credits or so without PRO Subscription.

Already possible without enabling developer menu. Just hold the menu button for 3 seconds. On MIB1 there aren't any FEC's

As far as I know, no. VIM lock is located in eeprom and VCDS can not access that. OBDeleven or VCP.

I have the VCDS and have already made several customizations on the mk7... It comes with MIB2 8”Fender with DVD ... but it only runs with a stationary car ... I would like to enable ... @@Rafaelsilvagoncalv Audi MMI 2G, 3G and 3G+ can have VIM removed with VCDS. But somewhere in 2015/2016 Audi also started to use MIB2 architecture (software starts with HMI2 instead of HN+ in older ones) and the VIM lock located in EEPROM, the same way as in all other MIB2 units in VW, SEAT, Skoda...

Does anyone know if this still works if you add on one of the 'Carplay' add on devices that insert themselves between the display unit and informat unit. It makes use of the 'menu' button to switch into carplay mode.

There are such devices and I believe they do work. I'm using one of those in Audi Q3 with old RMC system and I'm happy with it.

Da radę wyłączyć tym urządzeniem start stop ( w dziale aplikacje jest taka opcja kosztuje 10 coins) ja wyłączyłem start stop i po wejściu w menu samochodu w funkcji start stop widnieje napis " duże zapotrzebowanie na prąd" ale żaden błąd na desce sie nie święci.

Does the cheapest device from obdeleven do the job? And do we need to pay extra for enabling the developer mode? They mention extra fees for certain functions of the app, but not too detailed what it applies to.

There’s two types of OBDeleven device: 1st gen and 2nd gen. Both do the same but 2nd gen works with iPhones. When you have the device and OBDeleven app installed on the phone, there are two ways of doing things: you can buy/get free credits and spend them on one-click-apps (for example 10 credits for enabling developer mode) or you can buy PRO license which will allow you to perform required changes/activations manually.

This works on most MIB systems: Composition Media, Discover Media, Discover Pro, MIB1, MIB2, MIB2.5.

You don't need GEM. There are SD based solutions that do not require diagnostic tools.

@@mrfixpl I don't have a test mode, if I press the menu button for 3 seconds, only the software version and the HMI version menu items appear, after 10 seconds of pressing only one beep, but I don't see any new menu items. How can I activate app connect only with an SD card?
