This time, I continue working on my 1.8t MK2 GTI shell swap by refreshing all the suspension and steering. Covered in this video: Rear axle beam bushing replacement, Front wheel bearing replacement, Coilover installation, control arm replacement, Sway bar bushings, Steering rack/bellows, Tie rods, Ball joints and a bunch of other stuff.

no exaggeration dude, youre my favorite youtube channel and... i watch way too much youtube. havent even owned a tv or a streaming subscription for any of the last decade. i rewatch videos from you every time i'm about to start a project, but i also watch them when they drop or aren't about anything i'm working on because you're just fun to watch and listen to. you uploaded this right before i went to bed last night and i was ALMOST bummed at how long it is only because it meant i had to wait til today to watch it. it's crazy you dont have more subs but for those of us watching man, just know you are killing it. and i could swear you've hand picked out all your project cars just to tickle my specific fancy. rah rah cheerleading pom poms

Thanks man, I appreciate the hell out of this. It really means a lot. It sounds like you have excellent taste! It's hard not to get discouraged by how little traction my stuff gets, but I really believe I could make this my job. Just gotta figure out the algorithm manipulation. All I can really do is ask you guys to share the channel and make the best content I can!

@@bakedbeansgarage116 I definitely think you could take off on here, you've already found your niche, and I think it's just a matter of time the right crowd starts watching. Especially compared to most other DIY garage content on youtube, your camera work, editing, on-screen presence, all make it super enjoyable to watch. And you're good at putting simple words to somewhat complicated things which is awesome for new or younger DIYers. Keep at it! Nobody else is doing it like you right now!

Funny how life can be, I owned 1987 golf mk2 gti and volvo 940 at the same time. Both cars were excellent, loved them so much. One was my daily driver while the second was just there, it had some problems with documents, wasn't possible to drive it legally. But I still did, couple of times. And then I found your channel when you started working on volvo, I like your way of explaining things in your videos, music, and excellent sense of humour. Thank you so much for your work and effort you put into it is just on another level. Attention to details and stuff, you definitely know what you're doing, I wish the channel had more views

@@bakedbeansgarage116 Yeah, I hopefully will not, now my friend drives my golf, and volvo went to a different region of my country to be used as a shell basically, without papers it's worth nothing, unfortunately

I can relate to "I can never seem to go more than a year or two, without completely taking this car apart to nothing". I've got my 1990 civic si for a bit over a year now and I already redone whole engine, front suspension, front brakes and interior. Anyways great vids, I really appreciate the fact that You are sharing useful knowledge and experience.

The rotten banana is still in the fleet, but it has already made the trek to the new BBG HQ, which is a few hundred miles away. It'll be back, but it's gonna be awhile. There is, however, a video on my white rabbit pickup coming in a few months.

I don't have a good answer. It just became my default. I overheat fast and can't bend down very well, so barefoot on concrete and picking stuff up with the piggies is helpful.
