I had the 1.4 same color and a leaking heater valve. Vw wanted R4000 to fix. However, the part cost around R400 and I got a vw buddy to install.

True, I had mine replaced the water flange on the right is another place where they like leaking

It's the guy in the back for me😂 shocked at your knowledge he couldn't find for many months. Had the same issue on my clp motor, changed the valve within 3 days of spotting the leak

I've got a 1.2 tdi. Last week it started needing about 1liter of water every 3-4 days. There is no visible water leak. It starts a little more difficult lately. 3 to 4 cranks instead of just one and Go, like usual.

I have changed the heater valve and water pump but still, I have to top up in the middle of my drive. I do not know where the water goes 😢😢😢

Mine had a leak but the mechanic said its the Thermostat unit i paid for the new Thermostat but the coolant almost ran out before i even drove the car for 4km. My leak isnt visible onthe ground

I did mine under warranty for my TSI the quote was R9k

Eish and the part is R500 😂😂😂 all that money to change a valve that is designed to fail. Hot coolant with a plastic housing its a question of when not if it will leak. My polo had the same issue, heater behind dashboard also leaking 😂

Machenic told me that I need buy a new "Exchange Heat Radiator" coz there was a leak behind my dash and the heater no longer works... Don't know how true this is.
