So after 2 years of driving the vw touareg v8 from 2004 i think it is time for an updated review of how i like it.

I have one that’s quite similar (no air suspension). Mine’s been a total lemon, and I’ve had every issue imaginable. But it’s never left me stranded. It’s always been able to run, drive, and stop (though not always well). Despite all that, it’s still my favourite car and I plan to keep it indefinitely

Oh man you have no idea how much i miss mine bro but on the other hand with gasprices atm here.... maybe someday when this channel gets monitized i can afford one once more haha but for now not yet sadly😅

@@DutchMike you should totally get a V10 or W12 when you buy it again. The W12 gets pretty much the same mileage as the V8, and the V10 is surprisingly really good on gas. With all the left wing politics in Europe, I can’t even imagine how expensive gas is. They’re terrible daily drivers, but awesome weekend cars. For 97% of people, an old Touareg is the worst car you can buy. But for people like us, they’re truly amazing I still keep in touch with the previous owner from 5 years ago of my car (we’re both pilots), and he still talks about how much he regrets selling it.

@Kyran Xavier offcourse i would go for a w12 bc of reasons haha. To buy a diesel like the v10 would be insane here atm bc i pay roadtaxes per weight and fueltype. For my v8 on petrol i payed like 100 eu per month only for the taxes.... take a diesel and you can double that.. so yeah i would go for the sport w12. There are a couple for sale here for like 20k that i know of so there are possibilities. First step: monitize the channel so i can actually buy and pay for it😅🤣 Its good to hear you like yours bro💪 They are terrible yes! But thats what attrackts me in the first place and because there are so much breakdowns i was able to start this channel so forever gratefull for the touareg💪

Happy holidays from US. Great video, even three 3 years after you posted, still getting views. Mines is a 2005, and I love my T1. Is unique and parts are accesible.

Mine is an air suspension 4.2 v8. Pain in the ass. I love the car but pain in the ass

Do you still have your Touareg Mike? I'm about to buy one, same year with 155,000kms in mint condition! I like when you said, it's a lucky car if it's in great condition even at this age. I am concerned that I will have to possibly replace the timing chain or water pump, as those were things I read wear out over time.

Hi and sadly no i don't have it anymore.... wel i say sadly but with gas prices in this moment i am kinda glad i dont have a v8 anymore haha. But i do mis him a lot.. look before you buy it let it be checked out by a specialist. And if worst comes to happen, on this channel you will find a video or the knowledge to fix anything on that car. I do however reconmend the obdeleven plug so you can see faultcodes yourself it saves you a lot of money. I made a couple of videos about what it is and if you cant find it let me know i will look up a link but trust me if you gonna own a vw you need that thing haha
