戊辰行進曲 - Japanese Military Song

I accidentally found this song while looking for versions of Tonyare Bushi. It's one of those songs that doesn't have alot of information out there and I never seen anyone upload this song before in the Marcher community so I decided to be the one to do this, assuming of, of course. This song appears to have no lyrics written for it and it feels quite eerie sounding to me. I have no information for this song unfortunately aside with the title of the song being "戊辰行進曲" or translated to "Boshin March", assuming that it written during the Boshin war. Unfortunately, no findings of marches written on the side of the Tokugawa Bakufu :(

As ive read the description of this vid that you dont have much info about it this si Boshin Koushinkyoku or Boshin march (there are 2 of them which another one is Miya San but it were made after battle of toba fushimi) it were first used in The Battle of Toba-Fushimi 1868. Played while marching with new imperial banner alongside with declaring that whoever pick a fight with them considered as "rebels" which at that time the imperial factions are actually rebels bc government of japan at that time is run Shogunate Tokugawa Bakufu. shogunate force were in shock that they somehow became rebels they werent even a bad guy and very confused on why or what did they do that make the new emperor got mad (meiji) because before this his father given them a new title as "guard of the imperial court" it is hightest honor bc it means they gained emperor trust(Aizu Domain the main shogunate clan) after defending the palace alongside satsuma against raging chosu force that was expelled by emperor himself as they used to be one of the clan that guard palace like others in 1866 so basically thats enough to make shogunate force at Toba-Fushimi start fleeing or defected when they met with the main force that come with imperial banner while their own army is pretty much even more modernized than european at that time

Many books do said that the Sat-cho is more modernized than the Shogunate, which one is true? Also I heard when the colours appear in the Toba-Fushimi 4 the first time, no one actually recognize the banner at all so the arriving army had to send an envoy to each side just to explain what the banner mean.

@@EukalyptusBonBon both are modernized but Choshu is most well trained and organized one out of all, for more infos wait for me a bit as i am working on big project on Bakumatsu period history where i will break down every bits of what happens other than the oral myth KZfaq videos we have seen But one thing I can spoil to you is that the actual battle and other things wasn’t really like what were portrayed as we have seen (it’s awesome than it actually is and there are more things to it) While waiting you can check out some of those contents I have already uploaded as teasers, which I’m sure you have never seen these before so did most of the people(at least non-Japanese like us)
