The Volvo V60 is a smaller estate car in the Swedish brand's palette, but it doesn't stand apart from the flagship models when it comes to the powertrain palette and you can get it in a variant with over 400 hp. On the other side of the price list is the 2.0 163 hp petrol engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. It bears the designation B3. Does this kind of power in not the smallest car in the premium segment, where you can expect a unique experience, make sense? I tested this by driving an early 2023 Volvo V60 B3 in a variety of conditions and my opinion on this is contained in the video test. In it, I discuss whether the 163 hp petrol provides adequate performance, showing, for example, the 0-100 km/h acceleration and the behaviour on expressways. In the video, I also give the V60's fuel consumption in the city and on the road, and discuss the behaviour of the automatic transmission. I also compare the sensibility of buying a base petrol to more powerful power units, such as the B4 - how it compares in terms of usability and price. My video test of the Volvo V60 2023 also focuses on other aspects of the car, such as build quality and how the new Google-integrated multimedia works. I also show how the adaptive LED High Beam headlights work, what the boot and rear seat capacity is like. The example I got is in the well-equipped Plus version. If you are interested in the Volvo V60 with petrol B3, I invite you to watch the test, where I put all the information about this model.
