We really were. Being there in 95-98 especially was just... man it's like everything coming out was dope, from all regions of the US. I wish I could erase my memory of it and send myself back in the past to live it again.

Still one of my favorite things to listen to. I remember driving to LA to go school shopping when I first heard this as a advertisement. It floored me and my buddies. Imagine, driving mid day in LA traffic and hear this just to promote the show. Brings tears to my eyes

I remember hearing this for the first time when I was fresh outta high school and it blew me away. I grew up in Los Angeles and was sad that no one else could hear it. Now everyone can hear it. It still holds up to today. We were spoiled in the 90s.

My best friend recorded this on a cassetta tape. We were in HS and would listen and vibe. This was before Nas dropped his second album. Everyone were anticipating it to drop. Hip hop was so alive - you could feel it in your soul.

Nas, Organized Konfusion (especially Pharoahe Monch who is in my personal top 15 FOR SURE...po is nice)....Nas kills it...I'm surprised I had never heard this...The Anthem in 99 is FIRE too...Em, Tech 9, KOOL G Rap, Pharoahe Monch, Chino XL, KRS-One, RZA, Xzibit...I think I like the 99 one better, but this one is pretty dope also...On that one I think Em and KGR have the 2 dopest verses w/ Chino/Pharoahe/Tech 9 also killing it

Out of all the Sway and Tech freestyles this is my favorite simply because it has most of my favorite MCs on one song. I like Nas, Shyheim, Pharaohe Monch and Saafir. The last album Sway and Tech came out with is "Back 2 basics(05)".
