Excellent Sam ...for me their is something really intriguing and unique about the Strangeways 'walk & talk' vlogs The infamous Norman Brown was the No.1 Governor during my stint. His tenure was a classic case of the tail wagging the dog!

Worked with Holly at Wymott, one of a few governors that nobody had a bad word about, proper down to earth and staff oriented, glad she's doing ok on the out although dealing with some demons. Really enjoying your chats around the jails Sam and the stories, brings back memories for me after just finishing a 34 years. I've worked with some amazing staff at Bedford where i was taught the ropes and learning my jail craft, onto Walton then finishing at Wymott. Keep em coming Sam 👍

The Roof Riot is forever etched into my childhood. I was 10yo and off school with the Pox ( Chicken, not the Small or Great ;) and I watched the entire thing on TV since I was quarantined and had nothing else to do. It was definitely more entertaining than Blue Peter!

Don't like her to posh. I was 25% none sex case I ended up in Lichfield because no one else would bid on me. Only met one good governor that told the truth. It was in Lancaster farms, I set the cell on fire woopy doo. Down the block three months. He said go to the wing again we will get you in your jail your asking for... I asked Manchester ended up in Buckley hall not too far happy. I had five years left to serve and a few months my brother was B1 I was B2 he said get out of here jump on the railings, I said I can't they all do it, he replied get out of this 50p. So I set the cell on fire new years day. Next minute I'm where I wanted the whole 12 years of my basic. I'm crime free 8 years now I'm more focussed on the immigration now.

SAM , if you go too risley in warrington there is another open prison in appleton thorne 20 minutes away they all sit in appleton thorne village million pound houses ,and an open prison .And style near wythenshaw gatley is a lovely grounds .

They started that bio metrics in barlinnie,it didn't last long,most of the time I didn't read your retinas properly same with the finger print scanner,I'm on a methadone script,before I got a script I was a season ticket holder at my local nick,I'd be out doing all-sorts a shit,I'd be outta control,my habit was so bad,I did a lifeline coursei,it's an eight week intensive course,looking into why you use,what you can do to stay sober,like catching triggers n the like,I was out four n a half to five years out,which had never happened since leaving care at sixteen,I got a drug testin n treatment order,you have to take a methadone script as part of it,I've currently only done one other sentence in the past twelve years,since getting on a script I've done,what I'd say,pretty well,had my own flat the last eleven years,got it furnished n feel really settled now,I'm not out doing any the shit I use to do,I've usually always got some penny's put by,so I'd say if I could get a job I'd feel like a productive part of society for once, anyway I've rabbled on 🤣🤣all the very best Sam✌️😎✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The prisoners are watching this love the shouting its mad .HOLLY , top women .And ive heard a nurse on a busy shift can walk 12 miles a day in a busy hostpital .Even if you build flats in this area its still a bad mad area rochdale road lower broughton cheethamhill you would buy an appartment £100,000 ,then need a cage over your front door and windows and stay in after 5pm .

SAM this is a bit off the cuff ,With whats going on in Israel Ive lived in 19 countries after leaving the Army. ive lived in Telaviv 3 times its a fantastic city work clubs bars . My freind works private security all over the world , He is 12 year younger than me , He said to me if i want some work in my field in TELAVIV In about 3 months there will be a lot going on ,And also he said the building work labouring work will be massive aswell in Telaviv ,

What can be done outside of prison to stem the flow of criminality.

I remember one No1 Governor who I did rounds with every evening as a PO, she new every member of staff and prisoner. They were my best years and she treated POs with respect, but that stopped in 2013 when they got rid of POs. When I retired 2 yrs ago there were alot of bankers !!

Mr samworth I constantly think about the strange ways doc in 2011 I was only like 15 but it literally fascinated me and would love to watch it again do you know where I can watch it. Im on methadone and its the worst thing to be on. More addictive than heroin, harder to come off and Drs are not keen to bring down and off it because they make so much money from it. Ive been on methadone longet than i was on heroin and i developed cripplomg anxiety so the Drs prescribed me valium?? So i went to the Drs addicted to 1 thing amd am now addicted to 2. If i knew then what i know now id never have started on methadone and gone cold turkey.

But having said that I did enjoy my time working at Broadmoor Hospital as a Health Care Assistant so am still looking forward to coming on the channel and chatting about my time there and finally getting to meet you Mr Samworth

My dream job is to work for the ambulance service and got an interview for it at the end of the month. But for a laugh I recently applied for a job as a prison officer and passed the first stage and make it to the next stage some online assessment thing but not going to pursue it because it doesn't interest me the job but was just doing it for a laugh just to see how far I would get if I applied for it. But hey if it's something someone wants to do then fair enough after all someone has got to do it but it won't ever be me am staying well clear of it.
