This is a fun little 40-year-old cruiser that belongs to my friend/mechanic here in Arizona. I borrowed it for a week to check it out. If you're interested in inquiring about being its next owner, drop me an email or comment and I'll get you connected for more information. Thanks for watching!

Ah, as a child of the early 1980s, that warmed my heart. Our neighbor had one of these (in arctic silver metallic) when I was a kid, and I always thought it was a cool car. I didn’t realize that the 1982 Prelude had the same primitive, “Mark I” version of the Honda maintenance minder as my 1984 Accord did. Thanks for the time warp back to my childhood! Let’s hope this car goes to a good home.

I had the same dream, vividly remember I was 10 in 1980, mesmerizing the car and the owner yelled at me thinking I was a deliquescent.. At 54, this is still my dream car if I could get hold of a decent one

i used to have one back in 1995, My uncle passed on to me in trade for an 89 mercury cougar, which i loved, the winters in Michigan were brutal and he said that my cougar wouldnt do the trick and we traded low and behold this car works on snow covered roads like nothing. sure miss them.

Nice to see this! My first car was a 82 prelude, blue with tan interior. It wasn't the coolest of cars considering it was as old as me. I do wish I had kept it. It would look good in the garage beside my 93 GS-R. It was a fun little car and economical. My favorite feature was the sunroof. Hope that this one goes to a good home.

Timely video. Just had my 5th gen in the shop two months ago and talked to the owner a bit about this very same 1st gen, which he had parked out front that day. Could've asked to drive it, but it would have been presumptuous; I'm not a big-time KZfaqr with publicity to offer in exchange! Anyway, I looked it over and actually thought of you with all the aftermarket stuff on the car. ;-) Thanks for this up-close profile. It's a neat little car and a fine video, as usual.

Thanks for posting this. My first car was a manual 82 Honda Prelude that I bought for $400 when I was stationed in Japan in 92. I got my DL in Japan before I got my American DL. So I was majorly thrown off when I got back to the US from driving on the left side of the road with the steering wheel on the right side of the car and shifting with my left hand. But driving around Japan on a Friday and Saturday night was awesome.

@@97warlock Not as luxurious… it depends really, back then, Japanese people had loads of options for this car, such as electric mirrors and windows, some versions also had A/C You could order luggage racks from the dealership, in Japan they also had an hidden storage space behind the back seat on the left side Obviously there was the tinted moonroof with retractable ceiling to prevent the sun from entering the cabin There were also sun shades for the back window and defrost, when you think about it, this car really was ahead of its time haha The Japanese only XXR model also had Connolly Leather option (and I think the other upper trim level in the US) And there even have been convertible versions (Solaire in the US and Tropic in Europe), there was really a Prelude for everyone back then =D Only options that could be missing would be heated seats and steering wheel
