Not sure about that one, I mean it looked nice but again just empty. I really would love to know how busy it gets from September onwards though. I am guessing it is still going to be pretty dead. Maybe it is also to do with alcohol because its banned, that might also be a factor. But do they stop you from bringing your own with you? would they confiscate it? Also you made a slight error when you said 1 night. You stayed for 2 nights lol - Also that shower was to small :D still waiting for you to find one that you can fit 600 people in haha

Anyway those places are way too hot to appreciate anything. And there is nothing to see. Go in some tropical places around the world or anywhere with desert weather if it's what you are looking for, but with landscape, Jordania, Arizona for exemple. As he said, if you want something like this, go to the Seychelles, or Maldives or Tahiti

@@user-tj2qm1sr2b I live in Florida and an English friend was visiting in April and suffered, sweat and moaned when it was barely 84 f, which we consider mild. It was really rather pathetic. I don't "like" heat, but if one makes some allowances, it's bearable. 80's in April? Delightful.

@@hatchling88 You may want to consider the fact that people born in a cooler climate will naturally struggle with a hotter or warmer climate, nothing to do with being pathetic! @LAura-qr2ff 27 күн бұрын
@@hatchling88 You're being silly. That temperature would be the hottest day of the year for some places in England. It would be a very rare temperature in some places. It's all relative. The same person might be fine after four weeks (acclimatised) or not - health issues. Everyone is different. Just like you might struggle in Arizona at 115F whereas someone who lives there would be fine. For example, 68F is a hot day in parts of England, things are very different to Florida. It shouldn't be difficult to understand that our climates are massively different and that affects how people feel.

I think you need to understand better the term deserted. This is in no way an abandoned or totally empty place. It simply does not have many people spending ridiculous money to stay there in that heat. There is a serious feeling of things being unmaintained at this place.

You had the chance to swim with dolphins and the water near the beaches glowed at night when you walked through the shallow end of the beach - natural flora that glows during water movement. Hey Tim, the reason some of those buttons don't work or do anything is probably because in other locations like other villas not over the water that are on the actual Island might have those features and they just utilize the same control panel throughout the resort since its probably cheaper in the long run instead of having to have multiple different custom control panels. Thats just my thought on that.

Well I can now scratch that resort of my bucket list! Than you Tim! Over water villas with no water access, alcohol free, and those wait times in low season??? Can't imagine what the waits are like in high season.

Beautiful looking place Tim, it’s a shame the accommodation didn’t come with a buggy… microwave would definitely come in handy if travelling with a baby

Content idea sprung to mind. Visit the "best hotel" in 10 of Europe's cheapest countries. With the likes of Albania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Poland etc and others becoming more popular budget options, thought it would be a cool series to see what you could get in the 5 star hotel range in some of these much more affordable places people are starting to like.

Im lucky enough to live in Doha...left UK for work. Let me just explain that because the summer months of June to August are so hot, everyone uses that time to travel overseas...kind of how UK peeps escape the winter weather for sun. Banana Island is busy all year round at the weekends though. It's a real treat for us working expats. Weather is perfect from November to March.

Despite the tatty bits and the noisy door, still looks gorgeous, I thought I could stay for a month there...then you tell me the price, OK of course... Massive lunch, love that. Do you have to give a tip every time? I guess you do. Thanks for the beautiful review as always Tim!

A no slcohil island resort no way. Now i an sounding like an alcoholic. Yeah ok but those villas i would be afraid of fallung in the sea. They badly need refurbishing.that door would have done me head in but the pool looked lovely Thanks once again Tim keep up good work ❤❤❤

I've got a resort location recommendation for you, Tim! Mohonk Mountain House in Upstate New York USA. It's been the location for a bunch of TV shows and I've been there it's LOVELY. It's also family friendly if you wanted to bring Gabby and Casper. Best time to go is in the Fall in October because the leaves are spectacular.

I visited a friend in Dallas in the late seventies. She had a niche in the wall next to the bathtub with a phone. It was fabulous. I'm a bathtub freak.

Poor Tim. I felt bad that he was “gutted” that the big slide was closed. The resort needs to provide individual carts to the guests that are staying in those island retreat structures. Lastly, seeing Tim floating around in the sea eating his feast was hilarious! 😂

@@WalkWithMeTimNo, but just mean you have a rather unhealthy obsession with showers that can accommodate more than two people. Just who the hell are you showering with? Swinger, maybe not but nudist has come to mind. But only briefly... You do you mate.
