I lost my wife to cancer after 22 years of marriage. She was the closest thing to perfect. She was my best friend, confidant and the only person I could've counted to have my back no matter what. This song really brings tears to my eyes and made me ask the same question" What is love, if it's not guaranteed? What is love if she's not here with me?' Now I realize that love and life are just beautiful vacations that need to be enjoyed as they're never guaranteed to last forever. I won't forget the last thing she said to me before losing consciousness " Don't allow yourself to be distracted from living your life. The only things you're guaranteed to take away from this life are your last meal and the memories.

I wish every man knew whether he makes a million dollars or 50k he's important enough to be married. No one person's value starts at the point that they "make it." It starts waayy before that. If men knew that, maybe they wouldn't wait so long to get married.
@1Kywanda

Not every man believe that making a large sum of money determines if he will marry. Most men are looking for women to bring specific qualities that they desire or need.

Considering his background, I believe being a Millionaire comes with influence especially in the black community, young people that grew up in the projects would be inspired that if he made it i would too,then socially if he is not married who does he leave his worth and legacy with ? he needs children to carry his name and legacy hence his importance been unique and not that he can't marry if he was a "thousandnire".
@kylanc726
@kylanc726 3 күн бұрын
@martinmutuna6641 As a believer, our standard of what makes us influential shouldn't be the same as the world. The idea that he only has influence because he's a millionaire is not exactly the flex people think it is. Having money gives you access to "stuff".....but if your walk and entirety of your life aren't aligning with what is a biblical standard, then what does it truly mean. The standard for marriage what and who it's for has been given by the Father. What he's saying is centered around the ideologies of man. Legacy, importance, and influence can be left with much less. Thank you for your response! I get what you're saying. I just don't fully agree.

@SHOTTAeastcoast A lot isn't all. I know plenty of women that could care less and are more concerned about a mans character, consistency, and commitment, not just to them but to TMH first and foremost. They're getting looked over also. If men have seemingly set this out as a standard amongst themselves ( privately spoken amongst his cirlcle) but many have made this idea public through many platforms. Can any man actually be upset that not all but a lot of women have adopted that same mindset?

My grown kids and I have troubled relationships and aging doesn't help the process when hearts have turned cold and bitter. What he said is true. Even though we as parents do not see our actions /our parenting through the eyes of our children, we have to acknowledge their story - what they felt, what we did and how it affected them. We may not have been "bad" parents, but we definitely could have done things differently, done things better. But we can only ask for forgiveness as we can't undo the past and move forward doing what we have to do to heal - and pray that God heals our brokenness and restores our hearts from dark to light. All in Jesus name.

Laterras, I absolutely *LOVED* this interview. How did you know this is the episode that I needed to listen to today? Y'alls laughter, has made my heart sing, especially on a day like today, in a week like this week, where I’ve had an overwhelming sense of sadness and depression come over me from this realization. This is the first interview I’ve watched of Leon and I’ve watched several, where he’s both laughing and smiling throughout; AND he’s actually reached me and I’ve both heard and listened to him. Watching him here on the couch with you, I felt like I could trust what he’s saying because it’s the first time I’ve seen him in a way that makes me feel like I can trust him as a person, his life and his story as well. Anyways, I hope when you each find your person(s), it’ll be at time in your lives where both you and her are ready to receive each other.

Wow, every time I think I've seen the best episode of DFW, I'm blown away again! I never heard of this brotha b4 today and I didn't intentionally play this ep. It automatically followed something else, so it was meant to be. But when I tell you this has blessed me so much in so many ways. Wallstreet Trapper needs to add "Untrapped Trapper" to his moniker, because he has grown to be so vulnerable, where he's unwrapped the pain to become so vulnerable and self aware. He can also do classes for emotionally broken and traumatized Black men. Like he said, as women we want to nurture. I have been a magnet for so many broken exes that I've found myself 40+ and unmarried. I have been that woman like he explained of his ex...praying for and over the men I've dated whether we were together or not. I've tried to be that safe place, but me alone has not been enough to heal them. I can't wait to share this episode with the men I still care about although we're not together anymore. So bless u WT for doing the work and going to therapy. Can't wait until you do a follow-up on DFW with your wife!❤ Thank u Laterras and thank u Wallstreet Trapper. I'm looking forward to signing up for one of your investment courses, because I don't know much at all, but have been trying to learn on my own. I want to understand my 401k plan better and the stock market in general.😊

Man. This is the other side of my story. The victims, we either make it or we don’t. We either fall to the way side or we push through against every label the world tries to press on us. MY GOD! MY GOD! When I tell you this was one of the most profound, intentional, authentic, transparent and humble conversations I’ve heard on this podcast. I can’t even explain the feeling I’m having from it. Trap was so true to himself and it was beautiful to listen to but Laterras the wisdom and word that you pour into your guests is absolutely amazing. I’m about in tears just from listening to this one. Blessings to you both! Now let me go and share this video with some people!!

Laterras this one, this one, is a game changer. I have family that are in the game struggling with allowing their intelligence and vulnerability be evident in their character. This Brutha is going to reach thousands/millions with his testimony. I also want to say what him telling men about allowing their women to be heard.......PRICELESS!!!! Always a die hard Dear Wifey Fan❤🙏
