It is very fitting that they used this song in the WandaVision trailer. The Monkees were a TV musical group created to capitalize on the Beatles phenomenon. The fact that they become wildly popular for a "manufactured" group was actually a big surprise. I don't know much about the world in WandaVision but it is obviously a manufactured world so the parallel is very fitting.

This is like a mix of horror, romance, comedy, and fantasy

Everything about this show deserves an Emmy! From the actors Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Kathryn Hahn, the special effects, the writers to the Musical Score!!! Everything 🤩

I can see this as a transitional piece in the show. As the world around them changes, this is playing.
