I like the concept a lot, but there are definitely some issues to work out. Item interaction speed is a necessity to the point of items being traps after a couple waves if you didn't receive the buff. Experience also starts blinking too quickly - an orb lasts 8 seconds, and spends 5 of those seconds flashing. It's important to know what orbs to go for first, but if all of the orbs are flashing then there's no priority.

as funny as the giant explosions wiping out everything are, I think that's the downside of boomers, preventing you from getting XP by spreading it out too thin.

Sad news, boomers now do less damage than the max hp of a boomer no matter what, preventing the mass chain explosion build that you were showing. :( Also, the enemy upgrades _were_ additive, but now it's multiplicative, making each upgrade exponentially more impactful. Before: 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, 250%, 300%, 350% After: 50%, 75%, 113%, 168%, 253%, 380%, 570%

I found a basically afk build, the opposite of yours, and now that the build you just had has been nerfed to the ground, I think it's the best option. You want to get orbital, thumper, and the sprinkler . Get the 2 pickup radius buffs, the attract to you, and attract to tower, and also upgrade pickup lifetime. Shotguns also probably work, but you only get 3 other weapons. You want to get thumper last, as it does no damage. Get as much freeze as possible on everything, just because it's more helpful than fire dmg. Focus on RoF, and NEVER get range upgrades, in case you kill things so far that they don't magnetize over to the tower. RoF does two very, very good things. First, it increases the rate at which the freeze thumper freezes so nothing can get through, and not only does it make the sprinkler shoot faster, it also increases the speed it moves around the tower, which is a very useful trait. Now for enemies always choose normies because we are boring. If normies are not an option we choose weirdos, because they basically just spawn normies. Normally, the enemies would scale their health and speed to overpower our setup. And that is why we will never even touch speed or health. Every time we upgrade the enemy, it will always be damage. Usually, that would make bombers really good, but the problem is during the boss phase, we have nothing to snipe bombers with so they get very close, if you try to dash away from the boss beams and into the range of a bomber, they will explode and one shot you with the mega damage. Which is why we are never getting bombers, so we have room to dodge. Since our setup will be effective no matter how many enemies there are, we can make enemies spawn a clone of themselves, for more exp. Also, that means this setup is effective forever, so congratulations, you just won the never ending game :D You just sit in the tower and let all the exp come to you, dodging a boss occasionally. Now you just need to have the luck to get all these items

got a really cool build with thumper orbital sprinkler and freeze upgrades on them all... wierdo's did noting anymore but as soon as i got a boomer i died because of the short range

This is not a tower defense. Here, you defend a tower. In tower defense games, the towers defend you.
