Solid advice from this /\ young man. As an ancient lifter i can confirm that ''crash dieting'' has NOT worked for anyone I know - they always bounce back to a flabbier place than they started at. Whatever you do, make it part of your life rather than ''going on a diet'', like brushing your teeth every morning. Drink plenty water, keep your diet clean, avoid alcohol, eat a little less and walk a little more. Combined with weight training ( concentrate on good form, not huge loads) you should be able to make a noticable change every month, all year round. Better and more fun than trying to starve for one month - then relapsing.

Amazing video - I feel like each time I’ve tried to go on a cut, I’d learn one or two of these things but still failed to keep consistent in the end. I wish I could show this to my past self as I finished high school to have saved five or more years of trying to figure it all out myself; these were all very useful, very real habits and lessons to learn!

Thanks a lot Wanhee. This is the real information everyone who wants to change needs. I'm tracking my weight for 3 years now, and all the people who've asked me, how they can do it, I always say: start tracking it. Even if you don't want or can change things right now, tracking is the most important, because once you start doing it, your awareness rises and changes will follow. About my journey: At 102kg in 2021 I started tracking weight in May, I added a morning routine, including yoga and meditation and starting the day with a glass of water, even if I didn't like it. I consistently lost weight until I hit my goal in 12/2021 (80kg). Small steps, small improvements were helping. Accepting to fail, or being slowed down, was a massive help, to maintain motivation. Since 2022 I was tracking weight and body fat, didn't rush. In 9/2023 I started with calisthenics Since January 2024, I am tracking weight, body fat, meals and training, plus the walks. I will start counting calories at 04/2024, to drop below 15% body fat. I'm still struggling with #6, #7 and especially #9 from your list. Hope you have a nice day 🙏

Very consistent with Greg O'Gallagher's methods for getting lean. Of all the tips, the one that has helped me the most is the meal consistency/standardization. In my log book I worked out three lunches and three dinners. The macros and cals are locked in. I do my meal prep each week and select from those options. During the week, it's zero thought required. It's just locked in. This shit works my friends.

This might sound strange, but I feel the need to express my gratitude towards your videos by saying: if I could have a father, I would choose you. To be honest, people who go into this journey quickly realize that there's so much more than loosing weight. It was never about that, truly, rather than loosing all the things that were weightening you down in general, making you always loose. It's learning how to properly love yourself, by providing the things you need to you, not as a duty, but as a pleasure; because you finally get to understand you are worth of it. A couple of minutes ago, I was experiencing anxiety deep inside me, and this video brought me back to the present, just in time. You are an amazing, nurturing and kind soul. Thank you so much. I'll start implementing the tips in a more serious way, especially, meditating and being grateful.❤

Important thing to note, if you’re happy at 10% and you’re feeling the best you’ve ever felt, you can maintain it. But most people can’t. A healthy body fat can be maintained at somewhere around 15% you don’t have to go to 10% if you feel like shit at that level. Be happy and feel good!

I stumbled randomly onto your channel and I am so glad I did. A lot of people tend to miss the small (INCREMENTAL) steps. They are so focused on achieving the results that they tend to rush things. Ex. If it takes 2 months to achieve a certain fitness level, they think they can achieve it in a month by doubling the exercises. Rather, the right mentality would be to patiently and consistently progress towards the goal. TL;DR: Thank you so much for producing such wonderful content, I really wish more people discover it :)

I don't know if this counts as drinking water, but I love tea and I drink gallons of it. Usualy I have two - three simplified "gongfu" sessions per day. I use 250ml gaiwan, ca. 4g of leaves (usualy green in spring-summer and red autumn-winter), I don't count infusions, I drink until 1.3l kettle is empty. I start in morning and finish before lunch, then I start again around 1PM and finish between 4-5PM and if I'm in mood, I start third session between 18:00 and 19:30. Plus I drink water during workouts. I do it this way around 5 years in the row. It's great because I love the taste and because of the aftertaste I have in my mouth all the time, I don't want to eat candies etc. It refreshes my mind, I'm well hydrated. I can do two huge meals a day (even omad is easy) diet without any hunger.

Reduced quantity of movements, but higher frequency of workout days have been huge for me, so basically PPL. Also another point on eating more protein is also eating more foods with fiber and keep in mind about foods high in satiety ( fiber protein helps here ) The other big game changer was compromising with Sugar and Soda with low cal / low added sugar ice cream, and Zero Sugar sodas. Also swapped out my creamer with zero sugar creamer. Make sure the foods you're eating most of the time are AT LEAST 1 gram of protein per 10 calories in the food. I know I shouldnt be drinking diet or zero sugar at all, but its just what works for me you dont have to do exactly that.

thank you, this is full of great advice, especially the part about managing stress, I put on 20kg and stopped training for almost 10 years because of depression, only just started training again a month ago, am seeing nice results, but the biggest motivator for me is that my wife wants to leave me, I'll be sad to lose my kids, but not sad to lose her, I started getting fit again because the motivation to attract a new partner and start again and actually be happy in my life was actually a possibility now, my angry neglectful wife was the reason for my depression.

Awesome informative video! The only thing I don’t do is count calories. I find it to take up so much time and it’s a nuisance especially how busy I am with work and such. Now I just eat healthy (at times eat what I want) and stop eating til I’m content or specifically at a level 5/6 on a hunger scale. I think the hunger scale isn’t really looked at a lot because we can eat healthy but even eating eating healthy, we can still gain more weight. With the hunger scale, we know when to stop eating and you can physically feel if you are overeating by touching your stomach.

Nice video! You can't outrun your diet. That's the lesson learned from studies on the Hadza tribe of Tanzania. In addition to a high protein and low carb diet, I would add some nuance that one should strive for mainly a plant based, high fiber, whole food diet w/ avoidance of all ultraprocessed foods (see NOVA system classification of foods) and incorporation of anti-inflammatory foods and avoidance of inflammatory foods. Animal proteins are inflammatory, but reasonable to ingest in moderation. Recall that Atkins had a cardiac arrest likely due to coronary disease, although he denied this while alive.

This is amazing, I've been doing some of these things over just trail and error. I havent dont a lick of cardio, and I've lost about 10lb through a high protein diet mainly. High protein is everything, I also usually have 3x carb dishes because I am Mexican so I make sure to eat different dishes within my culture that focuses on protein. Edit: It WAS 15 pounds and its about 12 atm, but i gained a little back because I didnt drink much water that week! Its totally doable with a little bit of discipline. I by no means have amazing discipline but I wake up every morning, have about 40 grams of protein, go to the gym, and then I come back, shower, and eat more protein xD. Im NEVER HUNGRY.

Another thing which i think can make your weight loss journey more is eating whole foods. By limiting yourself to only natural foods that are more satieting and calorie dense, its easier to make better food choices. Of course you can reward yourself oncs in a while, but by obly allowing healthy foods in your kitchen, eating healthier is easier when you dont have a bag of savory chips in your cabinet 10 feet away

Chickens soup in a pressure cooker is legit amazing for cutting. So quick as easy and tasty as well. I’ve lost 11kg in 2 months, most of that was just from walking and having oats for breakfast and soup for lunch.

The more water you drink the more you start to notice how much water you actually need. Which makes it actually a pretty easy habit to change imo. Keeping a big bottle by my desk at all times changed my habits totally because i ended up taking small sips very often instead of trying to get a big glass down every now and then.

this technique psychologically works lmao. drinking by glass makes you want to gulp down in one go. but using a big bottle hits different

@@skadi4094 Yeah i think it's just much easier and more natural to build the habit that way as you can do it more consistently. And then it kinda snowballs because your body just starts asking for more water basically xD

I run not because I want to lose weight, but because I enjoy the feeling of athletisim I get from it. Any weightloss I've had from running is jsut a bonus. But yes I agree, If your goal is to lose weight you don't need to do cardio, but I'd still recommend it because it feels great.

another one that I think is quite good, it seems stupid but associating the hunger with loosing fat, not thinking I need some food thinking that it is your body loosing fat
