Last 1 really stands out. Had a game where I got 6 kills just outside a cap in the woods. Tanks in a mindless dash across a large map to flank spawn only to die to a random swedish bush. Sound is a powerful weapon people

Thank you for the tips. I have been having trouble in BR 5,3 with Tiger and Panther. I always wanted to go into action and rushed it and then got flanked and sniper without even seeing the enemy. So I am slowly learning to use cover and sniper for a far. I am really gonna try the last tip defending last point and try to use cover more.

what really helped me is listening to engine noises inside towns, you can hear them coming and predict when they are going to come out from behind a building

This is the best tips ever, I have done this for one year and my progression is very good. Along the way our skill will be honed and most of the times we will do the extraordinary gameplay. Like this morning I shot without estimating a very long distance shot and I just know that it is gonna hit and it hits, for many times I done this. Also today I fought like 3 tanks simultanously by myself and I win. And I know that it is not because the enemy is weak (my team lost) but because the skills is honed through many hours, yet still unlike many youtubers out there which could single handedly destroyed enemy, in 1 day with a good teams I could only destroyed 4-5 tanks. I really love war thunder 😀

Experience is always the best teacher. Good video. One thing about concealment I would say is be mindful of destructible objects such as thin concrete walls and small or weak wood structures or wood piles. It will give you a false confidence and enemy rounds will go through them and hit your vehicle.

This is honestly the most helpful video i have ever seen on war thunders tank combat physics armor and tactics.the people who keep it simple absolutely dominate war thunder...using basics 😂👏 😳 dont rush into battle head first out of cover...use buildings for cover keeping the body of your tank covered keeps u alive constantly check your map. Use hull down whenever you can. Defensive positions always have the advantage so use that against the enemy. If your new there is no rush you dont have too destroy there whole team...relax ...take a strong firing position in cover and simply wait ✋️ there are plenty of noobs in that game that are just as green 😳 as you 😮. You dont want too force anything in tank combat ! Going out too get a kill streak usually just gets you killed! Your wins 🏆 will fall too you naturally if you do the basics...drive 20 yards ...stop...servey the map and area in front of you clear??? Good move 20 more yards check whats out front of you in cover...clear! Move 20 yards! This absolutely makes sense 👏 and im using all of it thanks

It should be mentioned that some tanks should NOT angle armor. Tanks with heavily sloped frontal armor but weak side armor, like almost all Sherman variants, and Panthers, will easily get penned in the side even if you angle. In fact, the russian 85mm is excellent at penning angled sides. Tanks like the KV-1 and Tiger 1 are better to angle in Also, rangefinding actually takes a lot of time if your crew is a low level. Usually you'll be able to figure it out in one or two shots, and eventually you'll get used to estimating it.

Best thing you can do is get yourself a set of directional headphones. Take cover, hull down, slowly press forward near cap point and wait it out. It also helps to shut off your engine when you're not moving. Also use your camera to view around corners before you dash out, especially towards the beginning and end of the match as that's where most campers will reveal themselves. Lastly, theres less to worry about if you dont engage every single enemy you see on sight, sometimes letting them pass gives you chances to take out multiples, increasing your SL and RP.

As someone with 4.6k hours and 20k RB battles, please learn all of this, there's nothing more painful than losing after carrying the whole damn team

Concerning the rangefinder: don't use it offensively when playing tanks without a rangefinder module, 95% of the time it takes to long and you will be dead.

Just started up war thunder on my ps4, gonna give these tips a go and hopefully this helps out. I chose sweden as my starting country and they have pretty lightly armored tanks as it is.

it's very good advice that not enough people are doing great video also it's a game where you keep discovering tactics like i almost never do that last piece o advice to punish greedy players

finally, a tutorial with some tactics and clever thinking every single one of tank tutorial only talks about keybinds, and functions, but yours, is mostly about tactics, placement and aiming

One thing. If you are in a sniper battle with someone or if you have to react fast in low tier battles where the range finder takes time to measure how far the enemy is, you will die by the time the range finder is done. That tip is useless then but it works better in top tiers where the range finder is very fast. So go in test drive and practice there to not use the range finder to get an idea on how far a tank can be.

If you have trouble with elevation/range set your gun to 150m range and you can just fire at center over a long battlesight range. Helped me get faster draw too.

Thank you for an excellent tutorial. One point about "lighting people up with a machine gun." So many players like to "test" their weapons on their teammates when leaving spawn points. It lights them up to and can really hurt scouts trying to hide. Not to mention the occasional person who simply stops dead not knowing its a teammate shooting them and turn and get blown away by an enemy.
