Not really sure why they nerfed the Viper after the last patch but its been a struggle trying to get it to work. If you enjoyed the video, please drop a like and subscribe.

just wondering; do you ALWAYS climb in toptier? Bormally it ends badly for most people. Plus, F-16 has shorter range aim-9m's which might be better
@sTix43_Ай бұрын
I climb because yes its more risky to be up in high altitudes. However climbing lets the jets fly faster with less fuel consumption, missiles fly further and are more difficult to dodge. Also it allows me to get better angles on the "lone straggler" of the group if I want to initiate a dogfight with them. Oh yeah and people don't always look up while they are in the "furball" in the middle of the map.

@@sTix43_ Sorry, didnt mean to offend you. I was just wondering how effective it was.

honestly it is because people usually are looking at that 4km-6km range but if you stay higher or below that you are usually pretty safe cause they either have to shoot up at you, making their missile slower (if you are at like 7km-10km) making them an easy target for your team and yourself since they have to fly somewhat at you. As long as you know how to defend radar active missiles and respect RWR pings you will be hard to hit. if you are below 4km you are usually in the clear cause of the people flying higher than you, still just like fly next to hills and such and dont just head on them. If you dont defend/respect (like how fast the ER is vs Sparrow) properly you will get punished. Some tips for bvr is like have your radar be the triangle vs the rectangle (if you are feeling comfortable with the basic usage of the radar), cause it really shows how far to the right or left you can turn to defend from missiles while maintaining lock. Understand what the RWR is trying to tell you (for example the top tier US tree usually can see if it is a mig-29 or a F-16 locking them, so you can defend differently off of just that info, mig = ER defend earlier, 16 = Sparrow hold lock if fired first, defend late... if fired on first, judge height of the shot quickly, higher means pull away, lower means fire and defend). And most importantly.... watch your speed/learn how to airbrake on the way down as the match goes on. You wanna be fast for your shots but you build up a lot of speed on the way down either defending from shots or when you run out of sparrows/ers/phenoixs/etc. You can easily rip wings off or not be able to control the aircraft well anywho i learned how to play WT more from watching dcs players like the growling sidewinder vs actual WT players.... mainly cause they lack actual passion for the planes they fly. However sim players have a different breed of passion. No matter what people tell you right now, every plane in top tier feels pretty flyable if you know your strengths, but most importantly learn the fights better than your opponents. You'll get soooooo many more kills understanding how gunfights/bvr works then just pure "stay fast and low" and you will have wayyyy more options.

@@user-bm2xf6io3c not offended, if that's how it came across I apologize. Climbing has it's ups and it's downs tho. The main thing is, these planes are really supposed to fly high. Its all around better for them.

@@knifeisgone I had just got my phantom last Christmas and was so pissed at getting dominated on the ground so I climbed one time and got lots of kills (probably lucky), but I see what you mean. Ngl, I was pretty surprised that I didn't get sniped by an F-14 instantly lol. I also taught a new phantom player my new "strat" lol. Maybe I've got to do that more often, esp since Phantom is slow for its BR and thin air makes you fast :D

The nerf bat? What did they change? Or is it just the radar/sparrow thing
@sTix43_Ай бұрын
It feels like it doesn't pull as hard now. And yeah the sparrow/radar shenanigans are alot to do with it.

Love the gameplay!! What did the nerf about it? I have the F16C too myself and am wondering if its anything I should be concerned about.
@sTix43_Ай бұрын
Thanks! And the F16 is hard to explain, It just "feels" different. Almost like it doesn't pull as hard as it used to. Other that that its still really good!

@@GRush-kl9vt Yeah crew is aced, I think its has to do with the amount of fuel in the jet, and or speed I am trying to pull high G turns at.
