It really would be nice if the F14, F16, and MiG29 were in a separate bracket. They really are their own kind and ruin 10.7 on up.

Really the F-14s need to go to 12.0 already. The F-16's and Mig29's are bad enough, but they're present in semi-managable numbers since the matchmaker places some caps on the highest BR players in a match. It's the endless legions of F-14s that make the BR range unbearable. It's a joke that it's at 11.7 when it's arguably the strongest plane in the game since its sparrows are meta and it carries the most and combines it with the best radar in the game. IMO the F-14 is presently the only plane that you can almost argue should be 12.3 due to how oppressive it is, yet it sits at 11.7.

10000% That was the only plane I can say was genuinely to much for the game. God help us when the B/D version gets added.

the MIG-23s radar isn't very intuituve, but it works fairly well, and the airframe is just amazing

Once you get above approx. 2000m altitude you can extend radar to 90km and go into look down mode which is quite useful. I finish top of scoreboard consistently in the ML and I play on xbox so no track IR. Lots of kills, but also lots of deaths.

The radar does go farther. You need to be a higher altitude. There is also a look down mode. And the radar is 49KM range

Could you do a revisit on the J-8B? Would be interesting to see ^^ Edit: love your content, especially since I'm trying to get into Sim right now (still got problems with spotting & keeping my eyes on enemys in dogfights, but it feels like i am improving)

Really hate fighting 14s and 16s. I don't even see 29s that much. Usually, if there are F14s and 16s then leaving the AB is impossible. They lock you up from the half way mark on most maps. You'll be locked up as you rotate.

Hey toast man, today i flew the scout drones o a sim test drive for the first time and I found the white hard to control, dunno if u play anything of ground SB but if u do, would love to see some tips on flying the drones on sim

I think when the guy at around 8:00 started licking you you never broke the lock, but the RWR doesn’t pick up things from angles too much above/below you, so it couldn’t see him when you had your roof pointed at him

The radar range nan only be increased at higher altitudes be careful the iff is buggy on it

I’m SOMEWHAT new to Radars but how do you know if they’re above or below your nose?

There's a line on the left side of the radar window that shows you where the radar is looking.

See the PPI display of the Radar on the right side? That green box shows the targets essentially from a top down view. On the left side of said box are 3 lines, 2 that are each above and below with a certain number, e.g 44°, -44°. That is the maximum slew angles for the radar antenna, it can point 44 degree up and 44degree down from the plane's horizon in this particular example. Then there is also another line at the centre showing the radar is in neutral position(default). A box in this arrangement is the radar's current scope coverage. When you lock someone with a radar, you can look on the left side of the radar scope and see where the box is between the three reference lines and get an approximate idea of where the target is in relation to your nose.

No, you can use all sorts of controllers on PC. Mice, xbox /playstation pads. etc
