I admire her a lot. She's actually one of the first characters I took a shine to,right after Thrall and Jaina. Lots of characters in Warcraft had their perks and for Tyrande,she was defiant in the face of authority and did what she could. It's just a shame Blizzard portrayed her with contradicting motives that didn't suit her personality at all in later expansions of WoW. Only weak men call a dominant and powerful woman a bitch.

Illidan was motivated by selfish intentions. He isn't a selfless character, and Malfurion had cause to lock him up. Especially when Illidan killed them night eleves and attacked tShadowsong. Plus he did some of the things just to impress Tyrande. Out of the three Malfurion is the better one.

More surprised on Malf's restrain in not killing his freed brother head on. He had the power, he had everything that would validate his killing of Illidan. From his consorting with he demons(who he joined for selfish reasons and only really attempted to aid the nelves after the demon soul was taken by Sargeras), abuse of the moon guard, and being an overall total dickhead. Also making another well of eternity. That one is arguable but if I were to put myself in the night elves shoes at that time, I would've declared for an execution. Furthermore, Illidan would've destroyed the world if he continued with the spell. If he told about his intentions sooner, Malf could've helped in his precision in destroying the Frozen Throne without major ramifications. But to be fair, the Nelves should've taken the opportunity in assaulting northrend.

The elves meant to destroy the Well of Eternity but because of Illidan's thirst of power, he took waters from well of eternity and poured one at the top of mount Hyjal (which is the world tree). That is why Archimonde is desperate to absorbed its powers.

As i remember he killed some of elves trying to stop him about creating the new Well of Eternity (or what) to ensure a great power for himself and for the other wizards in case of demon returns. At the place the Great Tree was planted and that time eternal life was granted to elven guys (Malfurion, Tyrande etc) The first Well of Eternity had a great part of the first demon invasion. Manipulated elven wizards used it's power to bring the demons to the world. Considering the night elf campaign last mission Illidan was right after all, without the tree they would have never defeated Archimonde, so he did not deserve that much punishment. About his "future", after 10 thousands years i would be mad too.

He sacrificed his Moon Guard to fright the first wave of the Legion, then he seek magic to feed his hunger that his magic did to his mind. Sometimes there’s more to Illidan then being an branded betrayer, he doesn’t deserve that title he save his people from an Legion. That’s just being ungrateful.

Well, he tried to make a second Well of Eternity, just after the Night Elves pushed themselves to the brink to banish the Burning Legion in the first war. Furion and the rest of the elves saw him as an unhinged magic addict and locked Illidan away forever as part of his rehab. In Illidan's defense, he saw magic as necessary to beat back the Burning Legion if they came back as he knew the extent of the Legion's power after Sargeras burned out his eyes, and he was kind of right. But in the elves defense, they did just come out of a near-apocalyptic war and only narrowly came on top of it, so they were incredibly paranoid about anything magical.

This is warcraft 3, everything in WoW is afterstory of warcraft.

Elves do have a knack of having gigantic egos,mind. While they rightly do so because of their long life span and growing wisdom,sometimes they just really don't see the big picture,especially if they're too prejudiced.
