@thesaltyseagames Balloon Boyz come with dwarf arms holding spears for quick easy conversion. Never needed skywardens for warcry but Def needed endrinriggers

Have you been liking the Pallador? They seem decent, but I agree it's just hard to make it all come together. The general shooting nerf in Warcry really hurt them.

@@thesaltyseagames The Pallador is decent. I use him as a very fast blocking unit. He can rush the battlefield and block important corridors with his huge base, and he can take a decent amount of punishment. It is indeed hard to make the SCV work nowadays. Correct me if Im wrong but the new shooting rules indicate that you cant shoot a unit that is engaged with one of yours. But your engaged unit can shoot at some other target that is not engaged yet. We have been running with this ruling and it actually makes for an interesting gameplay were you baiting your engagement in order keep shooting important enemy models for longer. Still it is a big nerf and I hope SCV get a rework soon.

If you cut off the lil sword guys shins and glue their knees on to their feet you get 20 beardless longbeards. All joking aside, that box is terrible for warcry. Lacks variety and the models don't even have rules in warcry.

They do, but at 110 points the old guard is nice and cheap, and also its profile is good enough in combat that it doesn't feel like a tax.

I suppose it's worth testing out. My concern is that since it buffs friendlies, and only activates when a friendly dies, sometimes you'll just have fewer people getting the buff than you want. But maybe if you set up well that won't matter. Would love to hear the results if you end up trying it.

I swear by him and have been singing his praises like an acolyte for about a year now. I'll just copy/paste part of my comment from another video, when Salty Dan guested on Tabletop and Beyond: "The Auric Flamekeeper's Reaction is fantastic; he is my go-to ally for any Order faction that likes to run to a point and build a fort (Fyreslayers, Lumineth, Cities . . .). First, you are going to be losing fighters -- any time from Round 2 on, fighters will die, and there's no range restriction on the triggering effect (and if you're not losing fighters then you're probably already winning easily). Second, it's one of the best damage buffs in the game, and it doesn't cost you any Ability Dice. It turns Hearthguard Berzerkers, Alarith Stoneguard, Longbeards and Hammerers into 3|5 or 3|6; Wardens become 2|5, double-axe Vulkites become a 4 4 2|4; etc. Remember, you're in your little control clusters: You'll have a lot of beneficiaries. And he's 20 Wounds for only 105 points, which is a better PPW than even your shield Vulkites. Maybe I don't play at a high enough level to see the error of my ways, but for me it enables units to punch well above their weight . . ." The "remember . . ." part referred to an earlier sentence on running Fyreslayers as a control list, but it still applies to any of the aforementioned or similar factions, given how you're going to place yourself around objectives, or form defensive groups for kill missions. The only trick is keeping in mind that you cannot react twice to the same action, so if you have someone about to go down and you plan to fire off his Rune, you can't _Counter_ or anything. Anyway, it's free damage, big bubble, no visibility restriction: It's great. Fighters go down; might as well benefit from the sacrifice.
