Oh... I been itching to start playing WarCry in my town so i got witch and shadow aelves because they looked wonderful. Looks like there are rough times ahead as a new player, lol! Thank you for the insightful and chill videos, they have been fun to listen / watch on background when building and painting.

I wish GW designers would watch this video. Im a Johnny and love DoKs, but even Johnnys want to feel they have a chance, that they are doing stuff in the game. I gave up on WC because the difference in power level between a top faction and a bad faction (DoKs) is like 10 to 1. I play other games, like Marvel Crisis Protocol and you can assemble a bad team, without top Leaderships, without the best (more efficient fighters) and do alright. Feel like you have a chance, and even win if you are a good tactician. 🤷‍♂ I do commend you for not giving up and assembling some lists, but even with allies I dont see them getting anywhere.

Thanks for the breakdown. When you reviewed Khainite Shadowstalkers (which i got with the catacombs box) i was curios how the other elf factions are compared to them. And they have problems. Like when playing against iron golems, the elfs are more costly with only having benefits of being faster. Tactics could be hit and run, but it takes time because of the lack of strength, compared to toughness it needs some luck. You can take down some fighters in your round, but in the opponents turn its just a massacre.

Since I bought the the Warcry box for Sylvaneth when first came out and I not invested in buying new models I reconfigured my warband to work in the 2.0 enviroment. The current setup is 1x Kunrnoth Huntermaster with Bow, 2x Kurnoths with Bows, 3x Spite Revenants, 2x Tree Revenants. If the 2.0 shooting rules can be interpreted that if my engaged miniature can still shoot other non-engaged enemy miniatures, then while the 2.0 shooting changes are a nerf, The Kunrnoths with Bows are actually impressive, because they had their melee profile buffed, almost to the point of being similar to the Scythes, so they can certainly hold their own in melee while having insane range support capabilities. I played 2 games testing them, given I wasn't playing vs competitive warbands and my luck on the dice was crazy good when shooting. They devastated the enemy warbands forcing them to take cover while my smaller units moved accord the battlefield. and the Spites tried to net Important targets before they can get to cover. In a match the managed to steal the win on round 2, by killing the enemy leader. The luck of solid cover on the terrain favored them though, but it still demonstrated in my eyes at least that they might be lowkey powerful.

What??? Reign of Fire was an awesome movie for what it was.

What units would you recommend for an all human list for the cities of sigmar?

Shame about the Idoneth, because they look great and it fits for them to be running around in little warbands. The issues with elves in Warcry is that while the Warhammer model is based on elves being fast, skilled, and otherwise average, and using their magic to make themselves very good so as to overcome a numbers disadvantage; in Warcry they're fast and otherwise kinda lousy, and they need their magic to even have a shot at being average. And hey, if they make a Chaos core warband that plays like Lumineth, maybe I'll switch, but I like the playstyle and nobody else does it, so my high elves are screwing around in the jungle for no good reason. I'd contend that the value of a Strength buff -- talking about the AoE ones here -- is matchup dependent. I wouldn't build around one, but it's nice to have in your back pocket. I'd toss out there as a Lumineth hero worth a second look Mr. Myari Lightcaller. He's a bit expensive at 150 for a buff piece (though notably he predates the Great Wound Reduction of 2.0), but he features both _Sharp-Eyed Scryhawk_ and a 6" -1 Attack bubble (triple) as seen on the Wurrgog Prophet and Shardspeaker of Slaanesh, so he brings solid offense/defense utility to the table. I've only tried a couple games with him and results have been inconclusive, but there's some promise. As a heads-up, Ailenn is based on the old Bladelord statline, so while she's cheaper for 2 more Wounds, she also has only a 1" Reach, meaning her relative survivability is questionable. Lastly, the children of Hysh need not fear the gunline (any more than anyone else does): _Shining Company_ reduces Attacks _to_ targeted models within an inch, no matter how far away the attacks originate. In other words, it works against shooting, and since most shooting is low-volume, it can greatly reduce the incoming damage (that said, it's still not exactly _fun_ to walk into a KO or SCE fusillade). Also, I suppose that in desperation you could use _Blinding Brilliance_ . While it is easily the worst faction reaction in the game, I did use it to avoid being blown-away by an otherwise one-dimensional Kruleboyz list. The one time it came up. P.S. Increasingly of the opinion that 8 Wounds is simply not viable in too many situations, I am going to experiment with "Fortitude" (+4W) Wardens. This puts them to 80pts, (and while I know cross-faction points-comparisons are highly imperfect) the same as a Savage Orruk with Stikka. Contrasting the two, the Warden gains 1 Move, 1 Reach, 1 Attack, and a defensive ability; and gives up 3 Wounds and a mobility ability. If I discover anything cool, I can post a follow-up.

1.0 was pretty balanced, dont know why ge deleted fast unit, only because some ignorant guys keep saying move win games, when it is totally false. damage win u games, move is nice to have, but not so many points, right now in warcry 2 same scrolls but with 2" move duferent can have even half point diferrence, thats ridiculous. faster units should be like 10-20% more expensive at best. so idoneths and skinks are totally unplayable
