Wardak soldiers. Foot Patrol 2.
Second film from the Foot Patrol series about what is in the mind of the U.S. soldiers fighting in the Afghanistan War.
This time a 10th Mountain division unit goes on a mission to explore a remote area that has never seen any ISAF soldier, hunting for the reclusive Taliban.
What do they think about the war, Afghanistan, Unites States politics, their duty on the so called war on terror? All of them want to keep fighting or just want to go back home and leave the military?
Film by Raul Gallego Abellan
Music by Ian Mader

It's crazy that when deployed you miss home, family, friends: all the good things. When home you miss the boys, the misery the mission. It's difficult to move within both worlds and adjust.

Leaning Forward It’s hard to sit still and listen to Liberal tampon boys talk shit about our brothers still in the fight. These Liberal College professors are corrupting the minds of our youth. When I got out of high school, I reported to boot camp within 8 days. Kids these days despise the military.... can’t decide if their a man or a woman.... and want the very thing we’ve been fighting against all these years!! Socialism/Communism!! It’s all backwards

Not necessarily the best type of person you want around in combat or just simply a war zone while deployed. Has a tendency to bring everyone down Dont get me wrong my hats off to him for his service and sacrifices. But if i were on deployment with him he is the guy i would def keep my eye on and paying attention to

@retrorom265 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think you thought your comment through either. Living with no arms and legs is a reality for some of these soldiers that come back home. That suffering really is worse than dying. Being happy you're alive is rarely enough. It's more of a curse to some of these folks.
@JoeKyser
@JoeKyser 3 жыл бұрын
@@retrorom265 Its not normal to choose death. Its a sickness when you do. That's reality. Its not healthy thinking and not something someone thinks through. Thinking it through, I stick with the comment. His words are under duress. Ask at a different time and you just might get a different answer. Maybe when the person is more mentally fit and can think more clear. I know first hand. God bless.
@retrorom265
@retrorom265 3 жыл бұрын
@@JoeKyser I'm telling you right now you're wrong. Ask any guy who was over there at the time. Ask any guy now who has been through some shit on their deployment. Think logically here. Would you really rather live out the rest of your life never being capable of doing anything again? You can't even wipe your own ass or eat food without assistance. Or would you rather be dead so you're not a burden on anyone, because at the end of the day, thats how you will feel. You'll feel useless and a waste of space. Not only will you feel like a burden but you're also a fucking vegetable so you've got that to deal with as well. Being alive is not living. And if you are not able to live your life, it is far better to be dead. Now I'm not gonna say there isn't a joe or two that are happy to be alive and thats wonderful for them but in my experiences, I gotta deal with survivors guilt amputees, dudes who can't talk or do anything normally anymore because an IED shook their brain loose, guys who have blood curdling screams at night from night terrors because their PTSD makes them think they're still over there on deployment. Not to mention 22 of these guys kill themselves every single day. Hell even my own depression and PTSD have me at my lowest points ready to go because the mental suffering is too damn much. So do tell me about how you know first hand that living is better. Until you stare death in the face and attempt to meet your maker, you haven't got a leg to stand on.

@@retrorom265 yes military is a prime example of unhealthy mental health. Great example. Look at the suicide rate. Im not saying they dont have those thoughts. If they thought it through, they probably wouldn't even be in the military right? Selfish thoughts gained through unselfish acts. What irony there. Im sure all very well thought through. So with that in mind. Ask any former military thats been in combat wether or not they thought it through first. Ever watch "why did you join the military?" how many say "I don't know"?

The truth about Afghanistan, Afghanistan is a place where Empire go to die. Afghanistan has been invaded by the Persian, the greeks, Arabs the all die. The British though Afghanistan is peice of cake, not once but three times lost. Russian still struggling with financially becsuse of Afghanistan 30 years Russia still. Crying why I went to Afghanistan. Now it is American turn. For 19 years still there is no victory, and shamelessly American will leave Afghanistan with no achievement. I feel sad for these kids who are working as a Army in Afghanistan then they dies. what there parent's recieving, nothing.

actually, they didn't have a chance without israel and the US against russia, russia didn't have a chance against germany without the US.and if america took off the kid gloves and played by the same rules as the primitive tango's in afghanistan, it would be the 51 state by next week, we protect our people so much they can't even imagine how sad it really is to be a afghan woman or child.
