Bramborák (with the older, especially South Bohemian name cmunda, the older Moravian name krompelák) is a traditional dish of most Slavic nations.
It is prepared by frying a thin layer of dough made from grated raw potatoes, flour, eggs, garlic, salt and marjoram, possibly milk and other spices (cumin, pepper, chopped onion) in fat. It is eaten warm, alone or with cabbage and smoked meat (kaplická cmunda), as a wrap for pork (Havíř or Silesian schnitzel), or with cracklings. It can also be used as a side dish, usually with meat and sauce.
