Warm ups - The 6 Step (Mohawks)

This is the first of our up coming series covering Warm Up Sequences.
We will have sequences for a range of abilities and a few multi-level or options for basic vs. advanced steps as we go too!
We’re starting out simple with a 3 layer approach to learn this staple of figure skating step agility.

It's a cool warmup and you also practice a few elements at the same time. I'll try it next time as I can do all the elements separately already. More combos like this pls 😊

I do this exercise with a 3-turn and will try with the Mohawk. Mohawks make me uncomfortable…

i think in the US, these are called "power mohawks" (like power 3- turns).

This exercise pops up in national skills level 2 and was my nemesis when I took my test earlier this year (bad GOE 🥲). It's gotten a bit better since then, so hopefully next time 🤞
